I am probably going to get a huge gasp here, but what and who is Return of the King?

Book three of J.R.R. Tolkein's Lord of the Ring series (and soon to be movie three of Peter Jackson's cinematic versions).

I say they make a Voyager movie where they meet the Enterprise and battle the Borg for the last time. But I have little say on this one because of Paramount.

In anycase...time to give the franchise a rest. I know that isnt a popular opinion, but I am a firm believer in it.

DS9 TV-Mini series/movie could happen. Who knows.

If we're going by TV movies, any one remember that voyager movie, dark hozion or something like that, just another sensless lets show how kick*** the borg are sort of things.  Left me scratching my head.

I just don't see a TV movie as being that big a draw.  

 

When I pay the 9 bucks to go to a movie I will at least make an effort to enjoy it.  If I get to see it for free the excitement just isn't there.

I'm still wondering what Wesley Crusher was doing in uniform in Nemesis.  He QUIT the Academy to avoid getting kicked out!!  And he's supposed to be a Traveler too?

There were several scenes cut from the beginning of Nemesis that explained Wesley's presence and that of Worf. Quite a few things were taken out of the reception I sincerely hope, one day, we'll get to see.

 

An example I recall hearing was a scene in which Worf states the life of a diplomat was not for him. He would rather kill his enemies than debate them (or something along those lines.)

Well they had the chance to add these scenes back in for the DVD, and they didn't do it.

i dunno personally i would have avoided that whole lone battle with shinzon in the unreachable place, far too much like khan. I would have had the enterprise actually reach a large group of ships and to take on the scimitar. Before the battle, Riker would take up command on the titan with troi. The fight would start, nearly all the fed ships would be blown to smithereens or incapacitated. The enterprise is topped dead in it's tracks and is targeted so riker and troi bravely sacrifice themselves smahing THEIR ship into the scimitar, destroying it. Everyone would be heartbroken, the married couple dying? NO!!!!!!!

 

with the real ending i'm just grumpy, data needed to survive in my opininon.

well you can't kill off troi on her own, and riker had way less character then data (which is rather surprising since he was an android)

well that's the whole point, get rid of that whole picard/data going back to the scimitar thing, it didn't work. We've already seen data save the day, it was someone elses turn

Eh....well....I'm certain she had to fly something without crashing back during her Academy days. Possibly she flew a few shuttles without crashing them. Then again, those could have been the days we didn't see an episode.

 

As for the ship itself...um...seems to me she does have a problem driving bigger vessels.

First of all, sorry for the long post.

 

I think that at this point, Trek needs another 20 year hiatus. It'll be a chance for a new generation to take a step forward and create fresh, new series ideas, versus more and more of the series and episode ideas from Braga, Berman, Dawson, Burton, Zimmerman and the rest of the writing, directing, and production themes.

 

As for a movie: Admiral Janeway and Rear Admiral Picard are at Deep Space Nine for a conference. The Titan is currently docked at DS9 undergoing repairs after a long fought battle. Voyager is sent to assist with the repairs.

 

Institute some plot from there.

That always puzzled me.  Kira made Colonial in the Bajoran Defence Forces.  This is equivalent to Captain in Starfleet.  Why, then, during her temporary transfer to Starfleet did she have Lieutenant Commander pips?  That's 2 steps down!

But she was already the XO of DS9.  Surely she would have known a lot of it already.
