One phrase, "Over my dead body". Voyager had potentail, and they screwwed it up. I could see Kirk doing a far better job in the 24th centry as Captain of Voyager than Janeway did. If I saw some writter being paided to create a script for a movie of Voyager I'd beg the man to burn it.

Janeway = Admiral

At anyrate, Voyager is far to split up for the movie to work, everyone already has another posting.

Right, nice avatar dude..Super funky...any way, after nemisis, Im ready to take a break from watching two hours of Startrek at a time, it makes me want to start writing TNG fanfics again, which I swore never to do again!

If only!

What would be great is to see a movie or series of movies with new combinations of TNG, Voy, and DS9 crew!  They're all still out there in the fictitious Trek universe working, flying on ships, pushing paper, etc.  I see no reason we couldn't see a mission with Admiral Janeway, Captain Riker, Commander Chakotay, Worf...  Bring it on!

Hey there,

I honestly don't know. Despite what many are saying, I'm not 1000% certain we've seen the last of the cast from TNG. It's possible, but knowing the way things have run in the past.....I mean...wasn't Star Trek V supposed to be the last movie for Kirk and company? :D

Once they (Paramount) wait a few years (hopefully they'll wait) and finally decide to make another movie, you have several options. First, I think almost everyone's accepted that the chances of Deep Space Nine showing up on the big screen aren't good. I personally think this is a shame because, despite my clear annoyance about the entire Sisko/god theme, I liked the story telling far more than Voyager. I didn't always like the "dark" tone the show took, but compared to Captain Janeway, I perferred it. However, I have heard some people say a DS9 TV-Mini series/movie could happen. Who knows.

As for Voyager proper, I think it's really hard to tell. In my mind, a lot would depend on whether or not they're going to try to develop a movie using Voyager Seasons 1-5 or Seasons 6-7. I say that because it wasn't until the end, with Berman and Braga focusing more on Series V, that the show's writing started to really excel. It was here you started to have solid character development, plots that didn't soley focus on Jeri Ryan's bust size and the one word I thought Voyager would never learn (and really didn't completely...continuity.

I just don't think Voyager, or DS9 for that fact, were popular enough to justify a big screen feature. ::shrugs::

how about one with TNG and DS9 then after that a DS9 flick? You get the people to like the ds9 characters more with the first movie, then send them off on their onw in the next one

You know Zertz how you said Janeway is an admiral and it would never work should I remind you of Kirk in the movies excluding 1. :D

Well, nothing is ever certain.   After all, STIII, IV, and V were all going to be "the last one" at the time, and look where that got us.   (Frankly, given how V turned out, they shoulda stopped at IV.  But VI was ok, so I guess it's all right.   :D )   But they've done a pretty good job of splitting up the TNG crew, including killing off one of the more popular people (Er, is there anyone left around here who's worried about 'spoilers'?).

DS9 and Voyager both left off in places that beg for sequals -- the Voyager finale in particular needed to be at least 15 minutes longer so we could find out what happened when they got home.  DS9 left us with an idea what people would be doing in the future but plot threads it would be interesting to revisit -- What's Odo going to do after he heals his people, and are they ever going to get over this 'solids' thing?  What's Sisko learning about as a non-linear being, and when will he goes nuts trying to keep it all straight?   ::D:

I certainly wouldn't mind seeing a movie of either series, but I agree with Huff -- all of the crews have been split up and gone their own way now, so let's see a mixed crew.  Maybe Kim (finally having gotten that loooong-awaited promotion) could turn up on Riker's ship, along with... Gah.  Been too long since I saw the DS9 finale... who's available for transfer... Bashir? Ezri?   Or something like that, anyway.   :)

Hello Everybody,

1st of all,.. thanx for your replies  :)

@AndrewLyon

I guess your right, but the TNG and the Voyager are 2 different kind of Star Treks. TNG is about exploring the galaxy in the alpha-quadrant, but always close to earth. Voyager is on the opposite side of our planet and tries to reach home, I personally liked the episodes like 'Message In A Bottle'. I don't know, I'm not a story writer  :D I just LOVE Voyager  ::D:

@Zertz

Yes, I know that Cpt. Janeway is already an admiral, but couldn't the movie play 'before' she got admiral, perhaps the "missing" time, how they got home in the first place?

@Lt. Travis Kroells

Thanx :), my avatar is from a fan-page of "The Big Lebowski" I just had to compress it and make it smaller

After watching Nemisis I felt like "This can't be it!" There's now movie about Voyager or Deep Space 9 *which I personnaly don't like that much*, however there are still people out there who enjoy watching the episodes.

How comes that you startet writing TNG fanfics? can you send me one to read?

@Captian Huff

You've just read my mind  ::): like I said earlier "This can't be it!"  ::):

@FredM

hmm,... you got a point there, but if you combine those 2 (voyager and ds9) to make a movie? For example the voyager somehow can reach the space station in some way, like being pulled by a big shockwave (caretaker) to ds9-station but somehow they end up in the delta quadrant again or the other way around, that the voyager for some reason is not able to get to the alpha quadrant because they were busy fighting species 8472 or the borg? Like I said before, I'm not a story writer :D

Anyway I really hope that this was NOT the last one

Hmm, but is Janeway like Kirk and Picard? DS9 did really leave things out there and Voyager was missing a big party, does Joe still marry whats her face?

Hey there,

The ship itself is probably either been blown up or sitting as some tourist attraction. "Voyager" itself probably now resembles the modern day U.S.S. Constitution. Sure, it's still an active naval vessel, but just look at how much it participated in the Iraq War.

As for the Borg, I think they should just leave that alone. They've done enough damage in destroying the credibility of the race. After all, a fleet of 40 Federation starship's couldn't destroy a single cube...but the small Intrepid Class Voyager could do it numerous times. :D

I cant agree more.  Voyager probably was literally disected after all the future technology was discovered on board from the Future Janeway. After this gruesome process..she probably was returned to her orginal from and placed in some sort of Starfleet Naval museum.  The one ship that did what 40 others could not..rather unbelievably.

Character blends for a future movie are probably the best bet.  I certainly hope Paramount schedules the film better as well...(one week from LOTR????) In anycase...time to give the franchise a rest. I know that isnt a popular opinion, but I am a firm believer in it.

I DO think that there will be a movie containing the Voyager crew. They may not play major roles, probably as cameos. The possibility of a Voyager movie is extremely slim. For one thing, Janeway is now an admiral, which means that either the ship is decommisioned or transferred to a different captain. My guess is Chakotay...yes, it CAN be anyone, but he's my first choice for the command. Anyway, without Janeway as the captain, it's just not Voyager...another problem with a Voyager film is that it will not be creative. Now that Voyager is back from the Delta Quadrant, there is nothing for the ship to do. Go into diplomatic situation? Attack the Romulans? Defend the Federation? That'll be just like the Enterprise-E. It's the same thing over and over and over, again and again. We already have E-E to cover the Alpha Quadrant for us...here's another problem with a full VOY crew film...it'll definitely NOT sell. Why? If people dislike TNG now, how can a series (VOY) that caused so much controversies back then and even now survive? With all due respect, FC made about $72 million dollars and some people didn't like it and called it crap, now imagine a film featuring the most "hated" Trek series ever. Of course, like I stated earlier, a mixed film is fine. May be cameos of several actors/actresses; but if it's a standalone Trek film, I do NOT think it'll sell.

That is a very good point. Who in their righteous mind would take Star Trek against the most highly-anticipated film of that year? It was suicide. NEM didn't even get the week's number 1 box office...it lost to Maid in Manhattan! How in the world can NEM lost to Miss Big-ass!? I think people saw the film just because Alan Silvestri scored it. Anyway, Paramount has to do better next time...if there is ever a next time...

Hmmm...listening to all these replies...

It is possible for a Voyager movie to be made.  It's always possible.  It will be harder and at the same time I wonder because Voyager's series finale: Endgame tied up many many loose ends.

[*]As for Janeway being an admiral...::looks up and ponders: I wonder how Worf got to be in all those movies when he was supposed to be posted on DS9  :wink:  ::

[*]Enterprise E has B4 (aka an intro for the return of Data)

[*]Kirk came "back to life" and the 24th century for the movie generations

All I can really say is: When there's a will, there's a way!  Since there was so much character development in the final seasons of voyager that it is possible to create a movie and expand the group futher...

just my two-cents  :)  ::throws teo pennies into a wishing well::

What ever, Voyager isnt that important, Im content with the fact that Return of the King (Yes Voric I am an actual, real life LOTR fan)  and the Matrix Revelations is coming out....for once I can honestly say, who cares about startrek?

I'm still wondering what Wesley Crusher was doing in uniform in Nemesis.  He QUIT the Academy to avoid getting kicked out!!  And he's supposed to be a Traveler too?
