USS Republic Mission Briefing 51207.16

 

Security has taken Irving and a pair of the Haigen diplomats into custody after they attacked the Prime Minister of Haigen, the First Primus of Gothik as well as several of the Republic's crew and command staff. Medical has treated all of the injured, released those that had no part in the attack, and fortunately Irving hadn't realized that the phasers were set to stun, and not to kill.

 

Besides determining the fate of the attackers, a diplomatic solution to the issue that Starfleet had sent us here to settle still had to be reached. It is our hope, that our scientific and engineering departments can come up with a solution as to how the two parties would be able to share and/or use the strange bi-planetary system circling the nearby pulsar, that they had both laid claim to.
