USS Republic Mission Briefing

The Republic crew is putting together their case to present shortly to the governing parties of the two feuding planets that the Fleet had sent us out here to settle their quarrel. However, since rescuing their stranded crews had left us thinking we had an easy solution by returning them home and thus ending the hostilities caused by each planet blaming the other for the missing crews....we now had to hold their people, until we solved a murder. With both planets being members of the Federation, it left it to us to moderate the case, especially in light of the fact that it had happened upon the Republic. The diplomats are demanding access to their people and are becoming less enamoured with our presence here, angry of our involvment and that they should be the ones deciding the fate of the suspects.
