Cptn Swain -> MISSION BRIEF: The Excalibur away team continues to investigate the disappearance of the Augustine's crew, while science works on a more detailed scan of the planet to assure that it would be safe for any future away teams. Aboard the Augustine the AT has found information that seems to indicate the shell may have came from the surface, possibly from the Dominon base; they have also begun to sift through mission logs that are now slowly begin recovered.

Ryan Mesner -> @+Rue+ We've found about all we're going to find here. We're sending a few samples back to the ship to study, and the logs haven't given us much information. We need to head down to the base.

T'Prehl -> ::performing a detailed scan of the planet surface, searching for any rock monsters, water monsters and creepy crawlies that could potentially make the away team its snack::

Ryan Mesner -> @+Rue+ Some of those bug carapaces we found. Some of the science logs indicate they may have come from the base.

T'Prehl -> We are yes. We're putting an emphasis on the local flora and fauna of the planet, particularly in close proximity to the away team.

Rue Wydown -> +Mesner+ You can bring some samples over. Scrapings or what not. In containment of course. But not a whole husk. I don't want to cause a problem over here in case, well, things go wonky.

T'Prehl -> ::Rue:: Scans indicate that there are no dangerous flora and fauna on the planet which may prove hazardous to the away team. However, the lower levels of the base are protected by the dampening field; scanners cannot penetrate the field. It may prove beneficial if we could analyze the source to determine what type of power output it is.

Tandaris Admiran -> @+White+ Oh. Have you tried a waste-output correlation trace analysis?

T'Prehl -> ::Karl:: And yes Mr. Schultz, the away team is currently on the surface.

Cptn Swain -> ACTION> The first hit on the database query is a partial match. It appears to have some similarity to the 'shroud' effect of the Jem'Hadar and of the Houdini mines. Though again, that does not appear to be any power source creating it, and no known matches exist for a field to exist of this size or of this application.
