USS Republic Mission Briefing: Stardate 51204.09

 

The Republic is back underway to help provide a diplomatic solution to the hostilities that have arisen with regards to two of the Federation's newest members, Haigen and Gothik. As our recent scientific mission while on the way toward those two worlds, gave us the good fortune to rescue missing explorers from both worlds, it is our estimation that their return may be a simple solution to the problem. Initial reports indicated that both worlds were blaming the other for attacking and destroying their ships, while exploring the area around the star Thaddius. It is our belief that the pulsar's interruption of their ship's functions and no fighting at all are the real cause of this dilemma. Hopefully, the return of their crewmen, and their own words will once again allow these two worlds to peacefully engage in trade and cultural exchange again. That, or face Federation sanctions......
