Sowing the Seeds of Discontent - Decent into Night pt 1

A log betweenFvillah Tricus tr’Salis, Proconsul Naron tr'Merk and Krein Aristus tr'Vren of the Tal Shiar

Fvillah Tricus tr’Salis and Proconsul Naron tr'Merk sat at the center of the large dining hall, at the imposing black alabaster table that the Fvillah preferred to do his business from. The table surface, impressively inlaid with latinum, rare precious green and blue gems, all crafted to form the symbol of their people, a shining angry predatory bird, clutching their two worlds in it’s Talons. To their eyes it was an everyday workspace; but to those outside, a symbol of the strength of the man they would deign to stand before and petition an audience to be seen by. On this day, having just concluded their business, a knock upon the heavy wooden door intricately carved with the Fvillah’s family crest, slowly opened, and allowed io of the imperial dheno to enter the room and approach the Fvillah.

“Fvillah, Krein Aristus tr’Vren of the Tal Shiar seeks an audience if au have a siuren to indulge him?” the dheno requested.

tr’Merk looked over to the Fvillah,” I have concluded my business with au Fvillah, and will take my leave so that au may have word with Aristus.”

tr’Salis looked up from the tablet he had been reading from, and set it aside, “Na, do na hna so fast. I may need to speak with au pending what he brings to me this time. Of late, it is na but his continued squabble with Galae, though," he paused a siuren, "it has been a bit on the quiet side. A bit of a squabble may yet be entertaining. Na, wait hrrau the antechamber, and I will call for au if I wish au counsel afterwards."

“As au command Fvillah,” tr'Merk authened, picking up his files as he headed over towards the small room set off to the side and hidden by a set of heavy tapestries in the back of the room.

Fvillah tr’Salis, motioned for the dheno to hna and bring tr’Vren hrrau so that he could make known what he had to say this time.

A brief siuren later, Krein Aristus tr’Vren of the Tal Shiar entered and walked in towards the Fvillah, stopping approximately 10 foot before he reached the table at which the Fvillah sat. Saluting and then bowing deeply, tr’Vren raised his eyes to meet those of the leader of the Empire.

“Fvillah, au honor me by taking the time to listen to my petition this day,” tr’Vren started.

“Aefvahd Aristus, but let us come to the point, au are na fahd for a social call, or au would have come earlier to dine with us.”

“If io only had the time Fvillah, but these days, I find myself busy ensuring the safety of au Empire,” tr’Vren authened. “It falls to some of us more than others, hna’h that others have divided loyalties.”

“Divided loyalties?” tr’Salis perked up, sitting up straighter hrrau his seat, having had his attention caught hna’h. “Do na play games with me tr’Vren. If au know of anyone plotting against us, or blatantly disregarding orders meant to protect the Empire, then let us hear au words. Out with it.”

“Fvillah, I only mean to draw attention to the actions of Galae; in particular, Daise’Khre’Riov tr’Vatrix, and how he hna'h uses his influence against others hrrau the Empire that he has personal grudge with.”

“And yet, au play at words. Let us cease with the word play, and if I must order au too,” tr’Salis began to grow short on patience, "know that I will."

“As au order my Fvillah,” tr’Vren authen. He knew he had to go somewhat easy fahd, as he did na wish to expose his own people and their agenda, only to set the seeds of discontent around Galae. “We have been watching with interest the sudden troop and ship build up by Daise’Khre’Riov tr’Vatrix, and their subsequent stationing them at numerous choke-points around the Empire. If io did na know, it could be construed that the Daise’Khre’Riov deigns to build up enough military strength, that he could potentially stage a coup io day.”

tr’Salis knitted his brows and frowned, “tr’Vren, while I know au and tr’Vatrix hold na great jol for each other, I’ve trusted the man for decades hna’h, and he’s never went afoul of me before. I’ve always been able to trust his actions and his word."

tr’Vren decided to push just a bit more, knowing na to push too much however and expose the plot some of his own people were working on. “Ie Fvillah, au have been able to trust him hrrau the past, but what of hna’h? His situation has changed much. Are au sure au can still trust him?”

“He’s never given me cause na to trust him, and his military genius has kept the Empire constant and strong. He’s always been io of my strongest supporters and a trusted counsel. Why do au question that at this time?”

“Fvillah, au may have been able to trust him once, but can au afford to hna’h? Where has he been of late? Na fahd, na, he’s been out aiding his bondmate’s ship, and creating issue with the Othan Fleet. Many of the Othan Deihu are au strongest supporters and have doubled our coffers with their contributions. tr’Vatrix, would have us break with them and start a civil war. If only on word of that bitch he’s falsely bonded to. The clone, she misleads him, and turns his interest away from his duty to au and the Empire. She subverts his loyalty from au to her own cause. ”

tr’Salis furrowed his brows, and leaned forward on his forearms, almost ready to challenge tr’Vren, “Be wary of au words, Aristus. tr’Vatrix is still considered loyal subject and trusted friend. I will na have au speak thus of his bondmate, as I will na have au attack him thus. She may be disruptive and unconventional, but she too, has managed to serve the Empire well hrrau her past.”

“ Fvillah, I only seek to ensure the safety of au and the Empire. Au say au trust tr’Vatrix, that au know him well, but where has he been for the better part of the last year? Off fighting with his bondmate’s crew, disruptive to the Othan fleet, and, did he na take the ship that was to become au new flagship, and use it to transport this same “cloned entity that he calls his bondmate” to his side, before sending the ship off to guard some small nonimportant world, run by the son of yet another of his friends? Au say she has served, but that was before, what has she done since, but turn au trusted ally perhaps against au?”

tr’Salis frowned at the thought of Azgalor not being his ship, “Continue, I will hear au out.”

tr’Vren smiled, seeing he will be able to get the words he wanted to say to the Fvillah’s ears and into his thoughts. Detailing how tr’Vatrix spent more time with his bondmate than at the Retor of late, and many other things. A short while later, he bowed and took his leave, wishing the Fvillah well for the day, and thanking him for letting him divulge his concerns for the Fvillah’s well being, with the obvious subversion of Galae by tr’Vatrix’s cloned bondmate.

tr’Salis watched the weasel of a man exit the room and called for tr’Merk to rejoin him.

“And au thoughts, Proconsul??” the Fvillah authen tr'Merk with a raised brow. "What do au think of this rumored 'plot' against the Empire?"

“I would suggest making au own show of strength. Au make the order as to which of tr’Vatrix’s plans go forward, and au make the decisions rhae others. Perhaps, instead of this large fleet mobiliztion, perhaps just send his bondmate’s ship, the Talon.”

“The Talon is currently without command. I’ve read report that it’s current Enarrain has been attacked and the XO missing as well.”

“Might I suggest bringing his bondmate back to service? It would be a menkha show of loyalty to au, if he had to send his own bondmate to the front of this mess he wishes to investigate?”

“She has only recently birthed child and planned to retire if I recall. Var'lon had mentioned to me recently that they planned to bring their son fahd to present to me. Her retirement, would solve io of the complaints that the Tal Shiar have had with Galae these many years, they've never favored her,” tr’Salis noted.

“All the better to see if he will obey, is it na?” tr’Merk had owed tr’Vren a favor, and had told him he would push tr’Vren’s agenda as best he could this day, but just this once. The rest would be up to tr’Vren to foster. "If he is still as loyal as au wish to believe, he will do as ordered, and send her off to his and au bidding. If he refuses, au have au authen. I would wager, that he will fight au rhae this."

"Have tr'Vatrix sent for. I wish to speak with him immediately," tr'Salis ordered.

"It will be as au command Fvillah," tr'Merk nodded and went to prepare the communique. Would that he could be hrrau the back room for that conversation, yet he knew na to push too far.
