USS Republic Mission Briefing Stardate 51203.12 The USS Republic, upon recommendation of the CSci, Lt Knight, concurrence with both the CO and XO, have pulled the ship out of the Thaddius Star System. Indications showed that the star a small, but weak pulsar emitting pulses only approximately once every 6 months standard galactic time, was about to do just that. Lt. Commander Robinson's away team had found a group of survivors from various ship malfunctions caused due to this pulsar, and indications that these missing ships from Gothik and Haigen went down when the pulse from the star disrupted their power sources. Although we still have a team down on the small planet Stalagg, it was felt that we could not chance the ship to try to retrieve the team at this time. It is hoped that they will take shelter from the extreme storms that had been building, and that we will be able to retrieve them shortly.
