Star Trek Advances

Does anyone think that in the future these Star Trek things will actually be put into action? I'm just weird like that, thinking about it.

 

I mean, Cell Phones are like Limited-range Communicators, IPads are like TNG's Data PADD's, so and so.

 

So does anyone think that the world could be somewhat like Star Trek/ any other Sci-Fi thing in the future?

Just my opinion, but I'd say we're already there and will continue moving forward?

 

If we already have the PADD (iPad) and communicators (smart/cell phones) less than thirty to forty years after Star Trek blew onto the scene, I don't see why these 'science fiction' advances won't keep popping up in the real world.

Yeah, I am really hoping that these advances we have will be somewhat like Star Trek. I also hope that there are other lifeforms out there.
