Questions and Where to Start Looking for Answers

A joint log by Daise'Erei'Riov Var'lon tr'Vatrix, Khre'Riov L'Haiy ira-Rexan t'Vatrix, and Daise'Erei'Riov Maec tr'Aieme (played by Morgana t'Ksa)

Daise’Khre’Riov tr’Vatrix’s personal guard cleared the way as both he and his wife made their way from the flitter pad back towards the Trapelarius Building where the bonding ceremony had been scheduled to have been held. Some angry voices could be heard in the crowd from those that didn’t understand why they were being detained or fear from others worried about those they could not find in the throng due to all the dheno. Most however knew to hold their tongues with the increased presence of Galae forces arriving at the venue.

“Rekkhai, for au safety, fhaen let us go first. Fhaen stay behind us with the Daise’Khre’Riov where we can keep au both safe,” Daise’Erei’Riov tr’Shalor implored her once again. “Let us do our job, and then we will be out of au way to let au do yours.”

L’haiy nodded to tr’Shalor, and slowed to walk at Var’lon’s side as they approached the first grouping of dheno that were requesting that guests please adjourn to the Rotunda until more information was gathered. The crowd for the most part quickly parted as they saw the armed escort approaching

“Var’lon, I don’t understand what the connection here could be. Attempts on myself and on t’Ksa; I thought I understood, but this attack on N’Dak, it does na make sense, it does na fit the pattern we had been discussing. I do na know how it could be related, other than he’s command staff rhae the Talon, but …..who would want to yy’a N’Dak? Oh....or, perhaps that is the problem in itself, and na related to the other issue?”

The Daise’Khre’Riov stared forward a moment somewhat lost in thought. Her comment forcing him back to the present. “With as many ‘friends’ that he and his family have made, I would not be surprised if they were unrelated. The fact it happened though raises a number of questions that I want answers to however.”

“The fact that it happened here is what concerns me. Where were the crew? And how are poor Morgana and Maec taking this? I hate how yet another bonding has been ruined, and somehow involved N’Dak.”

tr’Shalor turned towards the two of them, “The venue dheno have informed me that au friend Kheinsa Maec tr’Aieme is just over there and the area has been cleared of any hazards that would endanger au safety Rekkhais.

Looking first to Var’lon and getting his nod of approval, then to tr’Shalor; “Fhaen, lead the way.”

Across the ballroom, they could see tr’Aieme seated at io of the banquet tables. The Kheinsa seemed to be deep in thought, drumming his fingers on the table top as he mulled over the investigator’s questions. With a wave of his hand, he dismissed yet another io of the relatives assembled who’d come to express concern over the situation.

As the Daise’Khre’Riov’s personal detail approached, all others nearby were moved back a distance to allow for private conversation with the Kheinsa, who for the first time that many could recall, looked to be quite agitated.

It took a few moments for the Khiensa to recognize the visitors. When he did, he stood and gave a brief bow. “Jolan tru, Rekkhais.”

A smile appeared on Var’lon’s face as he approached his long-time friend. “Jolan tru. It’s good to see another friendly face here during such a troubling time.”

“Ie, I wish we were meeting under better circumstances.” Maec smiled grimly.

“Jolan Tru, tr’Aieme. My regrets to au and Morgana that something like this had to scar au special day. How is Morgana taking this? I do na see her fahd,” L’haiy looked around, “I imagine she is with her rinam’s at the siuren?”

“Regretfully, I do na know where she is. Na io has seen her since the trouble began. Her younger rinam has insinuated that she’s run off in embarrassment of this whole fiasco. I’m almost inclined to believe her.” He sighed, running a hand through his hair. “Is there any news on the Enarrain or what has been going on? They have told us very little.”

She looked to Var’lon first to see if he planned to respond, but at his nod, she turned back to Maec, “We’ve received very little information at this time. All we know is that Enarrain N’Dak has been injured and taken to a medical facility. We wanted to get back fahd to make sure that au and Morgana were doing alright after this disruption to au special day.” She turned to look over at Var’lon conferring with tr’Shalor and a few other dheno. “I’m sure we’ll have a full investigation as to what has happened and hopefully au can continue with our ceremony. Or do au think au families will want to wait to do this at a different time? Perhaps with less of a crowd?”

“At this late hour, we would most likely postpone it. I know Morgana would be more comfortable in a more intimate setting. She was never really happy with this...” He motioned to encompass the room. “We did our best to stem the tide that was her rinam’s out of control planning.” He smiled wistfully. “Na that au can tell.” Maec sighed for a moment, trying to figure out how to bring up a particular topic. “I do have io concern. The investigator earlier asked if I thought Morgana had anything to do with the incident involving N’Dak. Au don’t think she would act out in such a way, do au?”

L’haiy cocked her head a siuren, almost bewildered by the thought that anyone would think Morgana would do anything to harm someone. “I am sure it was just standard questioning, making sure all potential suspects were ruled out as it were. I assume that they have questioned au as well, but as to Morgana, that is most, concerning. Had she mentioned having issues with N’Dak to au while she was on this last mission?” She turned to look at Var’lon, “Au were rhae part of that mission e’lev. I know there were a few incidents that occurred, but anything that au would even think she might be capable of something like that? I just do na see it.”

“The fact that the N’Dak boy was involved complicates my previous suspicions unfortunately. The first thing we have to determine is if this is in any way related to the other attacks. As I mentioned earlier, there seem to be an unusually high number of people who would find reason to dislike him. Otherwise... if they are indeed related, what would bring him into the mix? The dheno teams will need to figure this all out. They’ll account for all of the people at the venue, review any time frames in which individuals were separated, review the security tapes, run forensic tests, and so forth.... basically recreating the entire scene again. Hopefully when they do, it will lead them to whomever is responsible.”

“Ie Rekkhai,” nodding to tr’Vatrix. “We will need to have them clear everyone fahd before they are released to ensure that nothing is missed. Shall we call in more dheno from Galae Headquarters as this involves a high ranking officer; or will the Talon dheno already fahd suffice?“

Using the arm that was wrapped around her back, he poked her ribs upon hearing the Rekkhai comment. He did not say anything, but felt it was enough to make her aware he caught the word.

“Talon’s team can play lead for now, but one of my teams will assist as necessary. I want to get to the bottom of this once and for all. Any and all resources necessary will be available as needed. If it truly does involve the same attackers that attacked you earlier, it will be put to a swift end.”

Wincing slightly from the rib jab that she knew she had well deserved that time, she turned to tr’Shalor, “Could au fhaen ask the dheno to find Morgana t’Ksa and have her escorted fahd to speak with us? I’d like to get her cleared of this mess immediately so that she and tr’Aieme can retire for the evening, and put this unsettling occurrence behind them for the time. I’m sure Maec would like to see her as well?” as she turns to the anxious looking Kheinsa.

Maec nodded as well, “I’m worried that she has na made an appearance. Hann’yyo.”

She looked back at Var’lon, na saying anything in front of Maec, but for some reason, she was getting a bad feeling about this.....
