USS Avenger (post-Voy Miranda-class frigate) is currently orbitting an uncharted Class M planet. Due to atmospheric instabilities, a landing party (Everyone save the CO) has been sent down via shuttle. However...a freak lightning bolt's knocked out all power systems to the shuttle causing it to crash in a densely forested area of the planet. Communications with the ship are intermittent at best, but a rescue shuttle has been dispatched to retrieve the landing party. The nearest clearing capable of handling a shuttle is 5km away.
