Fishing for Answers

With his graphite fishing rod in tow, Koga carefully stepped onto his water skimmer moored at his dock. It was a beautiful, warm day on ch'Rihan. The morning sun glistened off the bright blue water of the lake. Settling into his seat, Koga powered on the skimmer and soon was on his way to his favourite fishing spot in the middle of the lake. At his private villa in the Lake District near the Capitol, Koga enjoyed the peaceful solitude the area offered.

The quiet solitude also offered the opportunity to be alone with his thoughts. He once again glanced at his flashing ISD. Bringing the skimmer to a stop, the young Romulan weighed anchor and cast his line. Setting the rod in place, he briefly read the messages that flooded into his inbox. The Mysterious Woman again sent him a message, asking him what he knew about t'Ksa and if he might be of assistance planning a celebration of some sort, presumably in her honour.

This obviously isn't the garden variety fangirl/stalker he was used to. The fact that he hardly knew the doctor also didn't quite help things either. His two recent flubs at his post also didn't bode well for him either. Missing one of the doctor's comms on the planet, and failing to transmit the ship's ID codes in transit to ch'Rihan seemed to sour the doctor's opinion of him. Indeed, if it wasn't for N'Dak's intervention, he too, would most likely be in re-training exercises with tr'Pexil and the others.

Therefore, he couldn't see why this mystery lady is so intent on having him help out with planning. But, still, the messages keep coming in. Quickly grabbing his ISD Koga composed a quick response:

From: El'Riov Koga S'Bien

To: Unknown Lady Person

Subject: Inquiries regarding Maenak t'Ksa

Thank you for your messages. I always appreciate correspondence from my fans. In regards to your repeated inquiries, I do not think that I am a real suitable person to ask about the personal life of Morgana t'Ksa. While we have served together on the RES Talon for many years now, our differing roles on the ship do not often afford the opportunity for us to constantly interact with each other.

I do not know the doctor well and thusly, I cannot tell you much about her personal life or hobbies that isn't already publicly listed in her official Galae biography file. Nor am I a qualified party planner by any means -- although, I could probably arrange the "entertainment", if you are so inclined.

Perhaps, it would be more productive for you to contact one of her other associates or subordinates in the Medical Department who may know her hobbies or personal preferences better than I do? My replacement on the Talon can redirect you to another person.

Yours,

Koga S'Bien

His line suddenly went taut. He finally got a bite! Quickly setting down the ISD, Koga began to reel it in. Using much effort, Koga reeled in a large grey fish which would make more an excellent dinner tonight. Tossing the fish in an ice bucket, Koga skimmed over his message and hit send. He wasn't sure if the lady would talk to someone else. He knew these types of people, only insistant on talking to only him. But other than for his celebrity status, and the fact that they both are on the same ship, he wasn't even sure why they were asking him about the doctor. N'Dak is a pretty rich and famous guy too. Why don't they ask him? Koga will probably never know.
