The Manticore has arrived at the secret Federation base on

Distare-27 to pick up a new super weapon that can protect what

is left of humanity from the mysterious enemy, if they decide to

return. The base is run by George Melville, the former Consul

General who has tried to disgrace and murder Atragon-9 as well

as destroy the Manticore on many occasions. Thought to have

died, more than once, Melville is onboard the ship, working with

A9, Sovak and Margaux Roget to hand over the weapon.
