Do Au Want The Menkha News First, or the Bad News?

A joint log by Daise'Khre'Riov Var'lon tr'Vatrix and Khre'Riov L'haiy t'Vatrix

Daise’Erei’Riov Na’tik tr’Shalor had returned to Galae Headquarters after he and his team had safely seen the Khre’Riov safely back to the tr’Vatrix’s seaside compound. Although they had a residence in the capital, this was the one that the two of them preferred the most, as did the dheno team. Mainly due to its location, as it was much easier to secure, and keep out the curious or those that perhaps wished ill upon the family, or the woman herself because of her recent history with the nanogenes.

Situated on the Novok continent, just outside of the city of Varald, the compound sat in seclusion on a small peninsula, situated high upon sheer cliffs overlooking the sea. A small private path with security measures had been carved along the wall that monitored allowed access to the beach below.

Being in the Southern Temperate Zone, the weather was rather pleasant this time of year, so his men were not displeased at all about taking on this detail. Though they were tr’Vatrix’s own personal armsmen, and they had been reluctant to leave his side and let the secondary team handle his personal day to day oversight during his current mission, they knew that guarding their current charge was just as important, and had been his personal command to see that nothing happened to her. Only a bit lower in rank, she too was io of Galae’s elite, and not one to trifle with either. That she was the bondmate of the Daise’Erei’Riov, made their job more important. Even with her condition, with her training and background, it made their job easy, as she looked before she moved for the most part, and had maintained herself in excellent physical condition. She would show little sign of having been pregnant soon after she gave birth; and one but could wonder if she planned to resume her posting aboard the Talon the way she had pushed her conditioning through most of the pregnancy.

Ie, she had for the most part been easy to watch over. With the departure of tr’Vatrix, she mainly kept to the compound, forgoing the many dinner and festival invitations, sending her regrets due to her health or important family matters. More likely the woman didn’t wish to deal with the politicians and gossip-mongers while her husband was away, who could blame her?

The only real problem of late had been that she had developed a daily habit, something that was not usual for this woman. Each afternoon, they would make the trip to the medical facility where they had secured away her comatose former engineer. Each day she would make this trip, each day at the same time. They had advised her to rotate the time schedule, as it gave any attacker an advantage of knowing where she would be at a certain time, but she had brushed their suggestion, insisting that she had read that a regular event could help one that was comatose, and that she meant to speak to her officer and try to help her anyway she could. He and his men respected that she would show so much care for one of her crew, but that it had been the one that had stabbed her also puzzled them, but they would abide by her orders, but keep an eye on her.

However; now tr’Shalor had the misfortune of having to send a negative report to tr’Vatrix, that his team, while baiting in a suspected assailant, had almost let one of them get too close to her and had almost failed in their task. She had almost came to harm. tr’Vatrix had been correct in his assumption that someone would eventually try to accost or abduct her. He would na be happy to hear this. Straightening his uniform, he activated the viewscreen in the secured office and sent the call to contact the Teronix.

It had to be done, it might as well be now.
