The Manticore responded to a medical emergency from the Iota-18 research station, whose lead researcher is Manticore's former CMO, Dr. Kyle Mele. A Medical and Security team visited the station to assess a Nanite-infused epidemic. They have just been let out of Medical quarantine in the Sickbay, following a special nanite-focused biofilter was integrated into the transporters. The epidemic has killed 11 of the 45 researchers and their bodies will be examined to determine the failure of the research, as Manticore returns to Earth to bring these Fed Council research results home.
