USS REPUBLIC NCC-1371-E MISSION BRIEFING - 24OCT2011

 

Having gotten underway finishing up at Fiya 9, the crew of the Republic is off to investigate a planet that they've been told is hidden by a nebula listed on our star maps only as CX9344. Local traders have noted that though it is far out of the way, it has been a transit stop for ships moving long a few sparsely populated trade routes and one of the few sources of fresh fruits and vegetables in this sector. Also, astrometrics has indicated that a rogue comet had recently passed this way and that perhaps someone on that planet, might have gotten some pictures or scans of it.
