"Waiting"

They hugged once again still feeling the overwhelming joy of being reunited with each other. Tepi’s family was whole once again and they had no intention of being separated. It was only 45 minutes ago that they had been put back together after 2 long months of separation, the persons holding them hostage had left once they knew for sure that the damage to the planet’s ecosystem was permanent. They left Tepi and his family.

Although getting his family back together was a very happy occasion Tepi was forced to fill his wife in with what had happened. They both realized the grave situation they were now in and had instantly put together a few things that they wanted to take with them. They knew that Starfleet would begin evacuation of the planet as soon as they realized how to cure the virus, Tepi only hoped that was soon.

Tepi looked like his usual self, if one could describe usual as this way. He had no mask on him and his bioreadings were normal. Starfleet was searching for a man who was old without a family, Tepi was just the opposite, young with a wife and daughter. Not to mention with the thousands upon thousands of refugees the chances that anyone could pinpoint one man out of the group were, well, nearly impossible. He had no concerns.

Tepi and his family sat silently waiting for word on what was to happen with their home, waiting for the orders they knew would come, waiting to leave and start their lives over again.
