Its pretty bad here...

Yeah, just wanted to let everyone know that its really bad where I am.

I suppose the earthquake loosened up a lot of earth, which was become wetter and... yeah, a lot of roads have collapsed, mudslides, flooding... you name it, we have it. Not the most ideal place to live right now!

I live in Southern Maryland, btw.

Everything is pretty much closed down, and the internet is really spotty. I was having troubles last night keeping up with all the posted road closures on facebook last night.

In any case, I just wanted to let everyone know, because I know there are some people on here that live near here that are probably going through the same thing... I know some people still don't have the power back from the earthquake/hurricane.

Stay safe!

Kerris! Good to hear from you!

The weather and earthquake patterns these last few weeks have been really crazy up and down the East Coast. Stay safe, hope to see you back here once things (finally) settle down state-wise.

It's been crazy in California too. We haven't had a good beach day all summer. The environmentalist hippies don't even complain about global warming anymore.

Sorry for being out of touch, Captain. Been crazy here, and just as it was settling down... this happened! Ack!

I'll try and make it to sim on Monday, hopefully this sun will stay. It's bright out at the moment! Hope you're doing alright as well!

Kerris!

Hang in there. Not often two tropical systems decide to die and dump their remains over the same area (NE) so soon. And of course the wind. I imagine some roads, and power lines that are decades old kerplunked and now....after you can get through this tough spell..you'll have some new lines and repaired roads. I always wondered how WiFI works in heavy rain wind. I doubt cable had an advantage..if it's set up like here in CA..the Cable Internet is on the power poles!

Hang in there...keep watching the tropics.
