=Season 17=

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 19 August 2011

(13 December 2386)

As Sky Harbor Aegis celebrates the 16th Anniversary of its founding - Season 17 begins.

Captain Cooper has been tapped to head a Special Operations task force to investigate the escalation of Tjurakh activity in conjunction with the vacuum produced by the disappearance of the Breen. Chirakis has taken command of the station and reluctantly accepted the rank of captain. An executive officer has yet to be appointed.

We have no specific plans for the opening of Season 17, but that does not bar anyone from enjoying the moment - though there may be a few visitors. However, keep in mind that SubCommander Dabi does not enjoy overly-zealous celebrations.

Otherwise, engineering will continue working on the subspace defense grid. SubCommander Jorahl and LtCdr Ramson may continue their work on the Romulan-Federation joint-venture starship designated NX-9700. Science and medical will continue looking into the stone of Amun-ta.

TBS was two days.

Sky Harbor Aegis | Mission Briefing | 9 September 2011

(15 December 2386)

Lt Cdr Kallah Ramson is aboard, having docked the Romulan-Federation starship NX 97000 after a test run. The ship is receiving Aegis personnel for supervised tours. Some of the starship’s crew will be relaxing on station.

In the control tower, Mr. Roberts has inadvertently caused smoke damage to his office. He will be working in the main control tower until the office is cleaned and repaired.

On the outskirts of Aegis space, the void left by the disappearance of the Breen has caused a bit of sabre rattling. Tjurakh activity is on the increase, causing us to wonder who is financing them now. Chatter among various factions of the Orion Syndicate has also increased. Strange reports continue to filter through from Romulus.

TBS was 24 hours.

Sky Harbor Aegis | Mission Briefing | 23 September 2011

(17 December 2386)

The AQS has been successfully installed in the NX97000. It will depart Aegis for test runs tonight.

The ship will depart under the command of LtCdr Kallah Ramson, who will be assigning positions aboard for Aegis crew who want to participate. Those interested should let her know at sim begin. Those remaining on the station may play NPC regular NX crew or continue in a subplot of their own.

On the station, security is keeping a covert an eye on the lone Tjurakh who is “visiting." The Tjurakh are a large, burly humanoid species. Formerly a loose confederation of warlords, they suddenly came to the fore when someone gave them financial and technological backing. Highly intelligent but inexperienced with interstellar politics and warfare, they were backed, for financial gain, by certain of the Ferengi Council. The unmasking of the plot resulted in Ambassador Drankum’s return to Ferenginar and his subsequent retirement.

In science, Dr. Feretti has detected something strange in subspace, a signal as yet unidentified.

Sky Harbor Aegis | Mission Briefing | 30 September 2011

(18 December 2386)

The Romulan-Federation joint venture starship, NX97000, has left Aegis bound for Romulus on a test run. Aegis crew, minus Captain Chirakis, Mr. Roberts, and Commander JoNs, are aboard for a two-fold purpose: to familiarize themselves with the technology, and to give the ship’s Romulan builders a chance to flaunt their new creation.

All aboard the NX may NPC events on the station, and vice versa. The sim will focus on the NX for the next few weeks, all other plots being temporarily peripheral.

Sky Harbor Aegis | Mission Briefing | 7 October 2011

(18 December 2386)

TBS was 30 minutes. After an interplanetary drag race, the NX 97000 and the USS Missouri are approaching a nebula. Will one or both enter? Will they continue posturing? Better still, will they both survive?

Meanwhile, back on the station, Mr. Roberts educates Captain Chirakis concerning the Terran holiday of Christmas. Despite Commander JoNs’ misgivings about felines and tinsel trees, Aegis may have a festive decoration for the holiday.

Sky Harbor Aegis | Mission Briefing | 14 October 2011

(25 December 2386)

The USS Missouri, having lost the game of cat and mouse with the NX 97000, has become her traveling companion to Romulus.

TBS was one week. During that time, travel has gone smoothly, except for the anomalous subspace signals that have been plaguing the science and tactical sensors of both ships.

On Aegis, the station is decorated to celebrate the Terran tradition of Christmas.

Sky Harbor Aegis Mission Summary | 28 October 2011

(1 January 2386)

While en route to Romulus, the Romulan-Federation starship, NX97000, was drawn into subspace by an unfortunate clash between ship systems. Upon entering subspace, they faced off against a Breen cruiser. Fortunately, the rift that drew the NX into subspace also disabled the Breen ship. After a mad rush to repair systems, the NX fired on the cruiser, taking out their entire bridge and leaving them helpless. An away team has been assembled to board the ship, hopefully to gather data and determine why they are in subspace and what they hope to accomplish.

TBS is 10 minutes.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 4 November 2011

(1 January 2387)

TBS was ten minutes. At sim begin the away team will be on the Breen ship, looking for anything they can find that will explain the Breen’s presence in subspace. Since the Breen ship may have alerted their fleet, and, in the words of LtCdr Ramson, the Breen ship “turned over like a dead animal, bleeding plasma flames from its severed neck,” speed is of the essence.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 11 November 2011

(1 January 2387)

There has been no word from the NX 97000 since it entered subspace, drawn there by an unknown force. Its escort, the USS Missouri, remains in the area, waiting for any sign of their viability or their return to normal space.

In subspace, the EVA-clad away team that boarded the Breen ship has been laboring under dangerous uncertainty. Power remains inconsistent, the ship’s structural integrity is unstable, and security safeguards on the computers have begun a cascading wipe of all systems, including its own security measures. Concerned for the safety of the away team, LtCdr Ramson has ordered all data transferred to the NX for later analysis and is urging the team to finish and return to the ship.

On Aegis, command awaits anxiously for any word on the NX.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 18 November 2011

(2 January 2387)

The NX 97000 returned to normal space, literally “in the wake of” a massive explosion aboard the Breen vessel they were investigating. When they emerged, those aboard Aegis and the USS Missouri were greatly relieved. A science and engineering away team from the NX gathered data from the Breen ship, and escaped just before the ship blew.

The NX has resumed its course to Romii while science and engineering pour through the data, hoping to find out why the Breen are hiding in subspace and if their presence there has anything to do with the recent subspace disturbances detected throughout the sector.

Mission Summary | Sky Harbor Aegis | 18 November 2011

(2 January 2387)

The Romulan/ Federation ship NX 97000 continued its journey towards Romii. As science and engineering personnel were in the process of reviewing data from the Breen ship, messages from Romulan space began to stream data on a star that was showing signs of going nova near ch’Rihan. The information was sent to Aegis, who informed the Allied powers, asking them to prepare for a possible evacuation of the Romulan homeworld and surrounding colonies.

TBS is one month.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 2 December 2011

(2 February 2387)

The Romulan/ Federation ship NX 97000 closes on Romii.

Science and engineering personnel continue to review data from the Breen ship, taking into account the message from t’Pak at SFIntel’s FOB that the explosion detected by their sources was no “mere starship explosion.” Meanwhile, messages from Romulan space continue to stream data on a star that was showing signs of going nova near ch’Rihan.

Convoys from the Allied Powers are in Romulan space to assist with evacuations.

Mr. Roberts and Captain Chirakis are aboard the Revenge and will arrive at Romulus at sim begin. Captain Chirakis has been tasked with mediation between the Romulan High Command and overenthusiastic evacuation forces sent by the Allied Powers.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 16 December 2011

(16 February 2387)

Evacuation of ch’Rihan and other populated planets in the projected path of the supernova continue. The Revenge and the Missouri remain in orbit, each doing its part in the evacuation as well as keeping the allied evacuation armada in line.

The Aegean is at their rendezvous point, waiting for a ship from the Vulcan Science Academy. The nature of the Vulcan “fix” is unknown, but it is suspected to be of great power. Ambassador Spock has chosen a circuitous route and is, therefore, uncharacteristically late.

TBS was one week.

At sim begin, Ambassador Spock and the Jellyfish will rendezvous with the Aegean.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 23 December 2011

(23 February 2387)

While the Revenge and the Missouri orbit ch’Rihan to direct and oversee evacuations, Captain Chirakis and Captain Roberts take some down time to escape the stress.

To the surprise of Aegean’s crew, the Vulcan Science Academy chose Ambassador Spock to deliver the red matter. He has arrived on the Jellyfish, and is presently working with Dr. Feretti and Commander Coleridge to formulate a plan of attack on the rogue star. They are aware that their best efforts may not get the desired result because, according to Ambassador Spock, the red matter is “volitile in even the smallest of quantities.”

Meanwhile, Captain Ramson and Commander Brown discuss readying the Aegean to join the Romulan-Federation task force that plans to assault the Breen in subspace.

TBS was one week. At sim begin, Ambassador Spock, Dr. Feretti, and Commander Coleridge will be finalizing the plan.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 30 December 2011

(24 February 2387 | Stardate 2387.055)

Ambassador Spock has departed the Aegean in the Jellyfish, intent on depositing red matter into the problematic star to turn it from a supernova into a black hole, thereby sparing ch’Rihan and surrounding planets.

The Revenge and the Missouri have left orbit of ch’Rihan. They and the Aegean are making best speed to a safe distance from the star.

TBS was one day. Ambassador Spock should have reached the star by sim begin.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 6 January 2012

(24 February 2387 | Stardate 2387.055)

Ambassador Spock successfully planted red matter into the star that threatened to supernova near Romulan space. The red matter created a black hole, as predicted.

Cities on ch’Rihan not completely evacuated were covered with planetary shields. The Revenge, the Aegean, and the Missouri had backed to a safe distance from the star, but were called back to assist smaller vessels that were threatened by the event horizon.

A rift in space-time appeared, catching a ship in its wake. Missouri stood by to assist, but sustained significant damage when the rift catapulted the spinning ship into its port nacelle.

When the dust settled, the ship was identified as the USS Comanche Creek, Kelvin class, NCC-214, First Threat Response Border Patrol, from the year 2258. That ship is now under repair and will attempt to return to their own time.

Captain Chirakis has been invited to visit. Temporal contamination protocol has been initiated, so she will travel under heavy security, with the idea of making a thorough assessment of the ship and its needed repairs.

Aegean is en route to ch’Rihan, a mission of mercy to rescue survivors of the gamma ray burst.

TBS was two hours.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 13 January 2012

(24 February 2387 | Stardate 2387.055)

Aegean has come to the rescue of the Truvest, a disabled Romulan ship with 8,000 evacuees aboard.

Captain Chirakis has returned from USS Comanche Creek. Besides minor crew injuries, damage to the 23rd century Kelvin class ship consists of two smashed fighters, malfunctioning consoles, deck plating and minor structural damage. In essence, the damage can be handled by their own engineers, thereby maintaining the integrity of temporal contamination protocol.

The USS Missouri is now under full power and will remain with USS Comanche Creek until they reenter the rift.

TBS was two hours. Revenge is en route to Aegean to assist them with the Truvest if necessary.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 20 January 2012

(25 February 2387 | Stardate 2387.056)

After being recalled from the derelict ship, Truvest, the crew of Aegis has returned from Romulan space aboard the Revenge, its slipstream drive making the trip in a mere four hours. The USS Missouri has remained behind to both assist the USS Comanche Creek and to monitor their return to their own time.

LCDR Ramson is en route to Aegis aboard the Aegean.

TBS was 24 hours. The crew has been on-station for 20 hours.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 27 January 2012

(26 February 2387 | Stardate 2387.057)

The crew of Aegis is settling down to more of a routine since their return from Romulan space. The Aegean and the USS Missouri are en route. The USS Comanche Creek has re-entered the rift and has hopefully returned to its own time.

SubCommander tr’Jeth Dabi and Dr. Mimi Pavilion plan their wedding, now more important than ever to “increase Dabi’s line” and ensure the survival of the Romulan race.

Because of the influx of civilian Rihan, astrometrics is searching systems in the area, looking for suitable planets for resettlement.

Mr. Roberts has tasked engineering with developing a communications system that will work during slipstream travel.

TBS was 24 hours.

(27 February 2387 | Stardate 2387.058)

Dr. Feretti narrowed the field by finding several planets within the sector that are suitable for Rihan habitation. After sensor and probe investigations, the final few planets will be investigated by crew aboard the Aegean.

SubCommander Jorahl and SrLtn Duroz continued to examine the problem of communication during slipstream travel, a task given to them by Mr. Roberts.

Dr. Pavilion and SubCommander Dabi have set 8 March 2387 as their wedding date.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 10 February 2012

(2 March 2387 | Stardate 2387.061)

Of primary interest is paring down the list of planets suitable for Rihan habitation; Dr. Feretti has launched several probes towards the most promising ones.

Survivors from the devastation of ch’Rihan continue to pour into the station, putting a strain on resources. Tempers flare more easily as the station approaches full capacity. Security is stretched thin. Sick bay has seen a marked increase in minor illnesses and injuries because of the crowded conditions.

Tackling the problem of external communication during slipstream travel, engineering has hit a road block called “classified.” Pending clearance of documents containing Borg communication technology, their focus has shifted to the subspace transition suppression system.

Of secondary consideration is the investigation into the interaction of certain crew members with the crew of Comanche Creek. The primary focus of TempCorps is on Captain Chirakis and her responsibility as commanding officer. Strangely enough, the communication between Mai and her ancestor has not been discussed.

TBS was 48 hours. Everyone should be well rested.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 17 February 2012

(3 March 2387 | Stardate 2387.062)

Tension remains high on the station because of overcrowding, but after the security crackdown we have fewer brawls and more diplomacy, such as it is. Of course, with increased demand, Midway businesses are doing well, but so is the black market. Add to that preparations for his bonding with Dr. Pavilion, and SubCommander Dabi has his hands full.

TempCorps personnel have left the station, some with arms in slings, most with bumps and bruises from being caught in the Midway melee. Were it not for a sonic pulse there may have been some deaths among them. Also caught in the melee were several RSE visitors, including El’Riov tr’Pexil, now in sick bay.

Captain Chirakis and Mr. Roberts are working through their particular avenues to release classified documents on Borg communications technology so SubCommander Jorahl and Commander Coleridge can proceed with designing a communications device that will function during slipstream travel.

(10 March 2387 | Stardate 2387.069)

A festive air lingers in the common areas after celebrations surrounding the bonding of SubCommander tr’Jeth Dabi and Dr. Pavilion. As they prepared to leave for their honeymoon, activity in the station settled.

Having explored the Athra craft, mostly preserved in the cargo bay, engineering continues to tackle the problem of communications during slipstream travel. They now have two avenues to pursue: Athra communications and Borg technology.

Two planets not far from Aegis will be investigated for Rihan resettlement, only one of which shows promise. Dr. Feretti has forwarded information on both planets to LtCdr Ramson, who plans to take the Aegean for a close look at both.

TBS was two days.
