Sky Harbor Aegis Anniversary

=Season 17 Begins=

On this date in the year 1995, HoD TSara zantai T'Zay becameAegis' first Commanding Officer, with Commander Jennan Ayer (of Trill) asExecutive Officer. At that time,
Starbase Aegis
was deployed in geosynchronous orbit of Canar II, the date of its operational service logged as August 18, 2371.

Since then the station's design and purpose have been revised .
Sky Harbor Aegis
was moved from Canar II orbit to unclaimed space between Cardassian, Ferengi, Federation, and Breen space. It reflects a changing political and military environment, facing new threats from a technologically superior species called the Athra, a newly-formed Tjurakh Alliance, and Orion Cartels seeking to take a foothold in the void left by the disappearance of the Breen.

Today marks the 16th Anniversary of Sky Harbor Aegis.

To her crew, past and present, I extend my congratulations, and my hope for a promising future.
