Manticore monitors their two fighters, Wyvern and Griffin, as they hunt down defunct Federation probes in the Badlands to destroy them. All goes well until the bio-armor nutrient feed on the Griffin shorts out, creating a feedback loop in their electrical system. Now powerless and helpless, they bounce uncontrolled through streams and eddies, struggling to stay alive. Manticore has lost contact with them. Wyvern is headed to their last known location.
