Word recently reached the crew of the USS Caliban that the civilian freighter Miral, bound for Starbase 334, has gone off course and seems to have been hijacked; the small freighter is of particular value because it is carrying a large load of weapons-grade dolamide and orders are to retrieve it undamaged if at all possible. The state of the Miral's original crew is not known.

 

The Prospero has located the Miral several hours from its last known location. Attempts to open dialogue have been responded to with weapons fire and a short skirmish has knocked out their shields; a team from the Caliban (you guys) is gearing up to depart to secure the situation.
