Image Attachments

I am currently attempting to add attachments to my posts however, of the 2MB allotted I seem to have only 8.12K left for ANY post. I am very confused because this message has absolutely NO attachments to it and yet has 1.99MB used... Can someone explain this to me?

If I am correct, the maximum allowed is not for one post but for all posts you have on the board. If you have posted several posts with attachments, you may have reached that maximum. If you would like to add an attachment to a newer post, you must first detach an old file to give you the necessary space for the new attachment.

Okay, I understand that. But now I guess my question is, How do I detached the other file(s)?

Go to the post you wish to unattach something from and go to the Full Edit screen.

 

In the attachments section there is a "Manage Current Attachments" dropdown with a "delete" option.

Select attachments to delete then GO.
