Jed Scarlett Tauariki

Sitting on a stump

Running his hand through his stubborn hair, Jed looked around . The captain looked better already , which was a good thing. He couldn't say the same about Lt Mrkath , who was resting in the makeshift litter.Jed had developed a brand new respect for the Cait in the last few hours' that fracture would have most people in tears by now.

Sitting on a large stump, Jed stretched his legs slowly trying to minimized the pain to his overworked muscles, the lieutenant wiped his forehead with the bottom part of sweat stained undershirt. His uniform jacket, now ripped in half, was holding the rickety litter together. A shower, would be gladly appreciated right about now, but there was some more pressing matters.

Looking at the sleeping form of Akade, he was almost tempted to call the doctor over. Something about sleeping and possible concussions didn't mix well , he seemed to recall, but T'Aral had made abundantly clear that his medical knowledge was being regarded as primitive and insufficient at best. He leaned over , shaking Skyler gently until she moved a little, reassuring him that she was still breathing. The Vulcan doctor's constant scowling was not something he really wanted to put up with voluntarily right now; even a patient man had limits.

Squinting before covering his eyes from the sun peeking through the tree cover, Jed noticed the enemy aircraft still buzzing around. This was bad news. Despite his personal life philosophy of taking everything lightly and with optimism , he couldn't help but wonder just how long the Creek crew could hide from them. Especially on foot , with 3 injured including one that couldn't walk.
