The tension in the air was palpable. The room was dark and cool and was full from wall to wall. Eyes across the room glared at him. Piercing stares, pouring into his soul. He knew what they all wanted to hear, and he had to tell them...

A female NCO in the back screamed “BINGO!’

 

With a sigh of relief James placed the small ball in its holder and stepped away from the podium. At last his torture was done and his penance paid. How James ended up being the Morale Officer for the month, he wasn’t sure. Planning movie nights and social activities were not topics covered in the Academy, and James had never been one for the party scene. Regardless his turn was over, and as he looked at the roster he couldn’t help but laugh. Next up on the Morale Officer list is Captain Kwai.
