The Second Battle of Chin'toka was one of the final battles of the Dominion War and a terrible defeat for the Federation and their allies, who suffered over 300 ships damaged or destroyed. The USS Caliban (Miranda-class), a participant in the battle, has suffered massive ship-wide systems failure and a large saucer hull breach, and is now drifting as the after-battle cleanup begins and the crew tries to lick its wounds.
