Mission Summary | Sky Harbor Aegis | 20 August 2010

(28 July 2386 - 1835 Hours Aegis Relative)

In the Season 16 Premiere of Sky Harbor Aegis, the status of the station remains a mystery. The crew's last view of the station from the USS Missouri ended in an energy surge so powerful it temporarily blinded the Missouri's sensors, as well as some of Aegis' crew who were watching from the Missouri's observation lounge.

After a long hold in the transporter buffers, Missouri's Transporter Chief T'Lyn succeeded in bringing Aegis' stragglers aboard. Cmdr Chirakis, SubCmdr Jorahl, LtCmdr Coleridge, SrLtn Fletcher, and Ltjg Duroz arrived in various stages of health.

Meanwhile, Aegis' distress call prompted Captain Halloway to curtail surveillance in the Breen system to bring the USS Yorktown into Aegis space to investigate.

TBS was five minutes.

Mission Summary | Sky Harbor Aegis | 3 September 2010

(28 July 2386, 2050 hours Aegis Relative)

Still unsure of the status of the station, the crew of Aegis waited within scanning distance aboard the USS Missouri, an Akira class ship under the command of Captain Jerit d'Ka.

Mindful of their situation, Captain d'Ka gave Aegis' crew access to the ship's computers to assess the station's condition. On the bridge, Ambassador Drankum and SubCommander Jorahl monitored scans and ordered probes while engineers Coleridge, Fletcher, and Duroz assisted from sick bay.

From the observation lounge, others in the crew watch as the asteroids' waning glow cleared to reveal a mostly-intact station with a great deal of damage, especially where Pylon B impacted Pylon A. Most of the upper superstructure of Pylon B is exposed to space; the outer hull is consumed or otherwise missing.

Initial engineering scans of the station showed 20% of the overall station's structure was either missing or severely damaged, with another 30% in the category of "needing major work." Further scans showed the interior primary supports stable with secondary junctions still there and the external hull missing in one quarter.

Regarding systems, the primary pylon's engineering support still exists. We hope that during the emergency the systems reverted to standby, a failsafe built into the station during its original construction. We have yet to determine if the restart systems are intact.

Captain Finlay and others who were docked at the station eagerly await the status of their craft. Engineering Chief Jorahl recommended sending a boarding party to investigate further.

TBS was set at 15 minutes.

Mission Summary | Sky Harbor Aegis | 17 September 2010

(28 July 2386 | 2250 Hours Aegis Relative)

It has been 7 hours since evacuation. The crew has been given full privileges to use the equipment and facilities on the USS Missouri. They are being assisted by the Missouri's crew to make a full assessment of the status of the station.

Ambassador Drankum is comfortable in VIP quarters. Cdr Chirakis is comfortably oblivious to everything, recuperating in sick bay's ICU.

Spader, Harada, Rutian, and Elder manned fighters for a close visual of the station, feeding data directly to engineering, command, security, and science. On hearing from science that the parasites are dead, Captain d'Ka has brought the Missouri to within 2,000 km of the station for visual and sensor assessment.

TBS was one hour. In that time, Dabi will monitor the progress of fighters and Finlay might just find his ship.

Mission Summary | Sky Harbor Aegis | 17 September 2010

(29 July 2386 | 2250 Hours Aegis Relative)

As the USS Missouri holds position 2,000 km from the station, fighters continued their inspection. They found Finlay’s ship, the Slighe Chlann Uisnich. It has some damage and is presently tethered by a tractor beam to the USS Missouri.

Taking his turn at the Missouri’s bridge engineering console, Fletcher pronounced the station “very broken.” Power is out on 95% of the station and the diplomatic wing has extensive structural damage. Projected time for repair is months.

Cdr Chirakis regained consciousness and is working from sick bay.

TBS was one day.

Mission Summary | Sky Harbor Aegis | 24 September 2010

(30 July 2386 | 2350 Hours Aegis Relative)

Time between games was 24 hours. In that time scans of the station have been completed, all fighters returned to the bay, and Aegis’ senior engineers, assisted by those on the USS Missouri, are pouring over the data, contemplating their next step.

The USS Missouri has extended fields around the Slighe Chlann Uisnich to allow a team to board.

Preparations are being made for an away team to Aegis.

Ambassador Drankum is cloistered in Missouri’s VIP quarters. Commander Chirakis is close to discharge from sick bay.

Mission Summary | Sky Harbor Aegis | 1 October 2010

(31 July 2386 - 0600 Hours Aegis Relative)

Centurion Dabi led an away team to Aegis. Harada & Spader took fighters. Dabi, Brown, Leilani, Mimi, Caelan, and Duroz took a shuttle, to be used as emergency fall-back and backup until full power was restored to the station.

Coleridge and Chirakis monitored progress from the bridge of the USS Missouri.

Life support and force fields were extended to Finlay’s ship so his crew could board.

Aboard the station, Engineering was found intact but not in mint condition. LtCdr Fletcher reported it would take 8 hours to restore power to the viable areas of the station and get force fields in place so EVA suits would not be necessary. Cdr Brown began systems diagnostics from the control tower. Dr. Pavilion investigated sick bay and Centurion tr'Jeth Dabi checked on security.

TBS was 6 hours. At sim begin some areas of the station will have power restored; others will not.

Mission Summary | Sky Harbor Aegis | 8 October 2010

(31 July, 2386 | 0800 Hours Aegis Relative)

SubCommander Jorahl returned to Aegis from the shipyard. His initial evaluation, taken from communication to Cdr Chirakis and Ambassador Drankum, is bleak. Nothing is reliable. Large sections of Pylon 1 remain exposed to space. The computer is ponderously slow. Because of the this, the situation has been re-evaluated. All non-essential personnel have returned to the USS Missouri.

Essential personnel remaining on the station: SubCommander Jorahl, LtCdr Fletcher, LtCdr Coleridge, Ltjg Duroz, Centurion Dabi, and Dr. Pavilion, as well as assisting USS Missouri personnel.

Ambassador Drankum’s mental stability once again came into question as he exploded at LtCmdr Coleridge. Cdr Chirakis, realizing the implications of the situation, suggested that Scott’s expertise could best be used on the station.

Lt Cmdr Coleridge departed the Missouri on a shuttle, taking with him materials requisitioned for repair and cleanup.

Captain d’Ka released all available Missouri personnel to assist. Ten Hephaestus class prototype drones are also en route.

Time between games was 1 hour.

Mission Summary | Sky Harbor Aegis | 15 October 2010

(3 August 2386 - 0900 Hours - Aegis Relative)

In preparation for a complete computer core shutdown and reboot, all nonessential personnel have been removed from the station. Remaining aboard are Aegis’ engineering team of SubCommander Jorahl, LtCdr Coleridge, LtCdr Fletcher, and Ltjg Duroz, and a similar team from the USS Missouri. Centurion Dabi and Cdr Brown were in the Control Tower, monitoring and assisting in systems restart from there. Dr. Pavilion remained, along with the fallback shuttle, in case of emergency.

Science Chief Cdr Feretti reported that Aegis’ interior appeared not as bad as she expected and that most of Aegis should be salvageable.

Aegis crew aboard the USS Missouri continued as routinely as possible. USS Missouri attended to business as usual, her fighter squadron sending out routine sector and border patrols.

Time between games was 3 days. In that time the atmosphere on most of the engineering decks should be secure, computer restart should be underway, and system restore should have begun.

Sky Harbor Aegis Mission Brief for 29 October 2010

(4 August 2386 - 0900 Hours Aegis Relative)

TBS was one day.

Recouperating from an encounter with debris and the elements, Security Chief Dabi is in the capable hands of Dr. Pavilion in sick bay on the USS Missouri. Ltjg Spader is in command of security in the interim. Both Spader and Harada are aboard the station, cleaning up the security complex.

LtCdr Coleridge, in Aegis engineering, reported that progress is continuing on the hull, internal sensors, internal structural damage, and computer systems. He has a team focused on replacing the shield generators while he continues to repair the sections damaged by the decompression and ruptured power conduits. Depending on the state of the computer and power availability, the turbolifts are back online--with the caveat that they will be slower than usual, because they will have to reroute around still-inaccessible areas, and you might have to get out and make a connection somewhere else.

LtCdr Fletcher reported that the ten prototype drones have been working on the damage, with each drone doing approximating the work of a full team of engineers (3-5 people) at one third the speed. The jobs they have been assigned currently are structural and electrical repair. They operate autonomously, with little or no direct oversight.

Ltjg Spader reported that most of the primary debris has been cleared from the security area.

Status quo continues aboard the USS Missouri, with Aegis NPC and Missouri engineering teams monitoring Aegis progress. After last week's rant, Cdr Chirakis may or may not be allowed back on the bridge.

Mission Briefing | Sky Harbor Aegis | 5 November 2010

(18 August 2386 - 1100 Hours Aegis Relative)

After a week of hard labor aboard the station, repairs have made considerable headway. With a more constant stream of supplies from the Federation and Allied Powers, power has been restored to major departmental areas, allowing personnel to return for cleanup. Aegis is still far from stable, however, and it will be some time before the station is fully functional. Presently, the only civilians allowed aboard are freighter delivery personnel.

Ambassador Drankum has called all senior staff back to the USS Missouri. A departmental meeting has been called to assess our position and plan for our next move.

TBS was one week.

Mission Summary | Sky Harbor Aegis | 5 November 2010

(8 September, 2386 - 1200 hours, Aegis Relative)

After a week of incessant labor aboard the station, progress on repairs has allowed personnel to return to clear debris, to evaluate damaged equipment, and to install new equipment. We now have a constant stream of supplies from the Federation and Allied powers, but one major concern is loitering by freighter crews - an ongoing security problem.

TBS is 3 weeks.

In the interim, the basic structure of at least the first pylon, midway and half of the second pylon will be stable; civilians will start filtering in, under strict scrutiny by security; long term repairs will continue with the requested supplies arriving at the rate of a freighter every other day; drones will continue working on the hull; fighters and shuttles are presently crammed into one bay and will be moved as other bays become usable; the USS Missouri will have departed, though it will remain in the area to respond to emergencies.

Station civilians had been evacuated to nearby colonies or to their home worlds. As the civilians return, their families will remain behind until quarters and the facilities on the station are ready to handle re-occupation.

The shipyard was not affected by the parasites; some materials and personnel were evacuated to that facility. Nothing has been heard from TKR-117, but the assumption is that those remaining there are safe.

Mission Briefing | Sky Harbor Aegis | 12 November 2010

(8 September, 2386 - 1200 Hours Aegis Relative)

Three weeks after returning to the station, the crew is settling down to more routine tasks. The basic structure of the first pylon, the midway and half of the second pylon is now stable. Long term repairs continue with the requested supplies arriving at the rate of a freighter every other day. Fletcher’s drones are hard at work on the hull. Fighter and shuttle pilots await the day when they can actually move around in the bay. The USS Missouri has departed, though it remains in the area to respond to emergencies.

The station is almost ready to receive its first group of essential civilian personnel, who will be under strict scrutiny by security. Power in nonessential areas is still at a minimum and civilian quarters are last on the list for repair. Therefore, it will be some time before families and non-essential civilians can return.

Full contact with the shipyard has been established and they are assisting in cleanup and repair. We hope to hear from the colony on TKR-117 soon.

Mission Briefing | Sky Harbor Aegis | 19 November 2010

(16 September 2386, 1300 Hours Aegis Relative)

The black market is alive and well and cashing in on Aegis as supplies arrive to repair the station - then promptly disappear. The freighter Deep Space Horizon, at docking port 2, is prime suspect and is under lockdown. Several of their crew are being held and are undergoing interrogation by station security.

Cdr Chirakis has returned from her meeting with SI-5 Director Torak at Pekal Dorn. Intelligence reports raise questions as to how the Tjurakh have suddenly acquired the necessary expertise, equipment, and funding to enable them to unite and raid colonies in and around Federation space.

Mission Briefing | Sky Harbor Aegis | 10 December 2010

(23 September 2386 - 1400 Hours Aegis Relative)

Ambassador Drankum left the station after informing Cdr Chirakis he had a diplomatic meeting. He filed no flight plan nor did he tell anyone else of his destination.

Drs Lepage and Feretti compared notes on the missing items to determine if anything dangerous could be created from their contents.

Cent. tr’Jeth Dabi and his security team continued their investigation into the missing items, none of which have been found. The thieves remain in custody.

LtCdr Coleridge and LtCdr Fletcher continued station repairs.

TBS was set at 3 days.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 17 December 2010

(27 September 2386 - 1600 Hours Aegis Relative)

Repairs progress aboard the station, though not as quickly as Engineering Chief Jorahl would like. Drs. Lepage and Feretti are still discussing the possibility that stolen items could be used to manufacture biological or chemical weapons. While security continued to investigate the thefts and interrogate the prisoners, one human male, who calls himself Ocis, has become extremely ill.

Mission Briefing | Sky Harbor Aegis | 7 January 2011

(4 October 2386 | 1700 Hours Aegis Relative)

With Ambassador Drankum on Ferenginar and the station barely back on its feet from the subspace parasites, Starfleet Intel could not have chosen a worse time to recall Cdr Chirakis. She has rejoined her team at Intel SpecOpsFOB in the Pekal System.

Two curious bits of information have come to light. First, Ambassador Drankum has discovered that one segment of the Ferengi government is supplying the Tjurakh. Secondly, Starfleet Intel is investigating the complete obliteration of a Tjurakh out-colony on a remote planet. Why someone in the Ferengi government is supplying the Tjurakh is unknown; who attacked the Tjurakh colony and why is unknown. This information has not been divulged to Aegis’ crew, but it soon may be.

Cdr Nicolas Lepage is currently in command. Cdr Leilani Feretti is the next senior officer, but neither Cdr Lepage nor Starfleet have, as yet, chosen an interim executive officer. His short list includes Cdr Feretti, SubCommander Jorahl, Centurion Dabi, and Cdr Brown.

Meanwhile, suspected thief Ocis remains under guard in sick bay, suffering from malnourishment and parasitic infection. Anyone who has come in contact with the prisoner (most of the crew) should expect a precautionary scan for parasites and the diseases they may carry.

The problem of missing items from station supplies continues. Make sure your inventories are up to date lest Dabi come calling for a reckoning. The station’s initial lock-down has been lifted, but he is still as vigilant as a young honorable Rihan Chief of Security can be.

TBS was set at one week. Given the quality of engineers aboard, let us say that the essential part of the station has been repaired except for minor problems and cosmetics. Ongoing discussion will include the fate of the non-essential parts that were severely damaged - especially the diplomatic wing, 90% of which is presently unoccupied.

Mission Summary | Sky Harbor Aegis | 7 January 2011

(5 October 2386 - 0800 Hours Aegis Relative)

Congratulations to Lt Cmdr Mimi Pavilion, who received the Meritorious Service Award

With the station coming into full operational status and no sign of the parasites returning, activity on the station and in surrounding space is on the increase. Shipyard workers and some of their families have returned and progress continues.

Mining on some of the major asteroids has resumed and some of the miners’ families are looking for housing on Aegis. To relieve the burden on Aegis’ engineering staff, outside contractors have been called in to assist with internal repairs to civilian areas. Business on the midway has increased substantially as supplies and civilians pour in.

Ambassador Drankum is en route to Aegis from Ferenginar where he attended an eventful meeting, the results of which are yet to be fully realized.

Formal and informal interrogation of Ocis has revealed that the alleged thief is from a former Breen colony on Deosi. Ocis does not consider himself a thief, but someone who takes what he needs to survive. That he was previously unaware of the mysterious inactivity of the Breen is strange, as the Breen have been inactive for over two years.

TBS is 12 hours.

Mission Briefing | Sky Harbor Aegis | 21 January 2011

(8 October 2386 0900 Hours Aegis Relative)

Cdr Lepage remains in command of the station.

News of a shakeup in the Ferengi government has spread throughout the quadrant, though specifics are not known to the public. In the light of speculation, markets rise and fall with each rumor, several exchanges shutting down until the crisis passes, others deciding to take their chances and let the latinum fall where it may.

Cdr Chirakis returned to Aegis to question the former Breen slave, Ocis. She is still aboard the station, completing her mission.

Ambassador Drankum returned briefly. In a confidential conversation with Cdr Chirakis he explained the Ferengi-Tjurakh connection, the shakeup in the government, and intimated his intention to tender his resignation as commanding officer of Sky Harbor Aegis. He has since departed for Starbase 405. Patty is packing the ambassador’s belongings in preparation for his departure.

Security Chief tr’Jeth Dabi is rallying his forces to combat theft with stealth and not a little paranoia. The accused thief, Ocis, remains tight-lipped, still in sick bay.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 28 January 2011

(11 October 2386 - 1000 Hours Aegis Relative)

Though some parts of the station remain uninhabitable, those parts that are habitable are nearly full. Business is in full swing on the station, in the shipyard, and in the mines of the asteroid field.

Ambassador Drankum is still off-station. The news of his resignation has already hit the networks throughout the quadrant. He is en route to Aegis, ETA unknown. Until his return, Cdr Lepage is in command.

Cdr Chirakis is wandering the station in civilian clothes, fulfilling her role as an Intelligence officer.

Thefts aboard the station have come to a standstill except for the minor “missing things” that happen when a station is crowded.

Ocis, the former Breen slave and accused thief, remains in sick bay. He has given Chirakis the coordinates to their base of operations. The USS Missouri is due to dock, bringing Ocis’ group to Aegis for medical treatment.

The cargo bay has been transformed into a medical facility to accommodate 273 refugees. What technology they have will be brought to Aegis’ engineering department.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 4 February 2011

(14 October 2386 - 1100 hours Aegis Relative)

Ambassador Drankum has arrived under cover of darkness. Out of concern for his safety and the possibility of media onslaught and/or backlash, his presence on the station is known only to Cdrs Chirakis and Brown, Ltn Porter, Centurion tr’Jeth Dabi, and security personnel. The rumor mill, however, is in full swing, its point of origin suspected to be minions in the docking ring, who shall be left to the discretion of Centurion tr’Jeth Dabi as soon as time permits.

Cdr Chirakis has been reassigned as station executive officer.

The new commanding officer has yet to arrive.

Medical has been overwhelmed with 273 survivors from Deosi, the former Breen slave colony. While many are still being treated in Cargo Bay 3, the more severe cases have been transferred to sick bay, where their leader, Ocis, has slipped into a coma. The USS Missouri has arrived and remains in station orbit, rendering assistance to Aegis’ medical personnel.

Science is collaborating with medical to determine the nature and extent of the Deosi’s DNA damage.

Engineering is working on a piece of Breen technology that came from the Deosi. It is suspected that the Deosi used the device to transport stolen goods, and possibly themselves, off station.

TBS was three days.

Sky Harbor Aegis Mission Briefing 11 February 2011

(16 October 2386 - 1200 Hours Aegis Relative)

With Captain Daniel Cooper in command, a new era has begun.

Though Ambassador Drankum has left the station, inquiries are ongoing into the association of certain deposed high-ranking members of the Ferengi government with the Tjurakh Confederation. In addition, the questions of what the Tjurakh hope to accomplish in their raids and exactly who or what destroyed the colony they had established on the outskirts of Ferengi space remain unanswered.

Aboard the station, medical and science personnel continue treating the Deosi and looking for a cure. Engineering continues to unravel the puzzle of supposed Breen technology brought aboard by the ex-slaves. Security is settling into a more routine existence with the departure of most of the media sharks feeding on the resignation of Ambassador Drankum.

Mission Briefing | Sky Harbor Aegis | 18 February 2011

(16 October 2383 - 1400 Hours Aegis Relative)

TBS was one hour. During that time, the engineering team continued to unravel the Breen puzzle brought aboard by the Deosi.

Medical has released most of the Deosi, with the exception of a few, Ocis among them. It seems that those who have been using Breen technology for transport are deteriorating rapidly. Science and Medical are working for a cure. Those released from sick bay are being held in a secure area of the cargo bay and are being considered refugees.

Security is finally settling into a routine. Besides watching out for nefarious characters who may drift through with the shipyard workers, asteroid miners, and various travelers, fighter qualifications are coming up.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 25 February 2011

(16 October 2386 - 1600 Hours Aegis Relative)

Medical is in the process of a full autopsy of the former Breen slave, Ocis. The preliminary report indicates organ failure due to chroniton radiation. It also notes the presence of Breen DNA on his fingertips. Meanwhile temporary housing for the remaining 272 Deosi on Aegis is being arranged.

Engineering has discovered some interesting things about the Breen device. Commander Chirakis awaits their report.

An APB reports the pirate known as Wes Roberts is operating close to Aegis space. A ship identified as Wild Stallion, Rand al'Thor in command, is limping towards Aegis for repair, escorted by Aegis’ Combat Air Patrol.

A report from Intel reveals that the Tjurakh colony was given substandard equipment from their Ferengi suppliers and that evidence suggests the presence of Orion ships during the attack.

Sky Harbor Mission Brief - 4 March 2011

(16 October 2386 - 1800 Hours Aegis Relative)

TBS was one hour.

Engineering and science have moved the Breen transport device to the science lab where a suitable Breen environment will be reproduced to test it.

The disabled ship, Wild Stallion, has docked, its commanding officer, Rand al’Thor, taking his leave on the station. Security certified the ship clean and repairs have begun.

Dr. Pavilion performed a full autopsy on the former Breen slave, Ocis. Dr. Belar entered the cargo bay to examine some of the Deosi and, unfortunately, became the bearer of bad news to Ocis’ widow.

Aegis command is arranging the Deosi to live aboard Aegis until a suitable permanent settlement can be found. Command is waiting for a response from the administration on TKR-117, the science colony involved in excavation of an ancient city on that planet.
