Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 11 March 2011

(17 October 2386 - 1800 Hours Aegis Relative)

With the revelation that viable Breen DNA is needed to operate the stolen Breen transport device, engineering and science are ready for another test. Ocul has been released from sick bay to assist.

The 272 surviving former Breen slaves are slowly being relocated to decks 53 - 55, temporary quarters until a permanent settlement can be found.

TBS was 24 hours.

Mission Briefing | Sky Harbor Aegis| 18 March 2011

(17 October 2386 | 1920 Hours Aegis Relative)

During the test of the Breen transport device a massive buildup of subspace distortions resulted in the station’s loss of all contact with the surrounding area. In essence, everything surrounding the station seemed to disappear.

As Aegis lost contact with its environs, Captain al’Thor of the Wild Stallion lost all contact with the station, explaining that it “disappeared.”

During the 20 minutes between games, we have regrouped to determine what exactly did happen and why.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 1 April 2011

(18 October 2386 | 0920 Hours Aegis Relative)

Investigation into the strange disappearance and reappearance of the station continues. Engineering reports no apparent damage to the station as a result of the transition. Where we were and how we got there has still to be determined. Several concerns have been aired, including that the Breen may have a fix on the station and may be able to attack us at their convenience. As a hedge against that possibility, engineering is working with science on a modified version of the Breen transport device, one that is more reliable and controllable.

The Deosi, Ocul, who participated in the Breen transporter test, has succumbed to degeneration of his own DNA, but not before begging Dr. Lepage to remove his fingertips before the implanted Breen DNA degenerates.

Mission Briefing | Sky Harbor Aegis | 8 April 2011

(18 October 2386)

The station, the shipyard, and the colony on TKR-117 remain on red alert in preparation for a possible Breen attack from subspace. The station has been moved 0.5 km from its former location and an 18% tilt and a 12% rotation has been added. All systems - and personnel - are adjusting.

Hopefully we will not have a dramatic appearance any time soon.

Mission Briefing | Sky Harbor Aegis | 15 April 2011

(18 October 2386 - 1700 Hours Aegis Relative)

Status quo continues on the station with engineering and science exploring the Breen transporter device, security keeping a close watch on station visitors who are trapped in the red alert lock-down, and medical watching over everyone, especially the Deosi.

We are still at red alert with the possibility of a Breen attack from subspace.

Mission Briefing | Sky Harbor Aegis | 6 May 2011

(20 October 2386)

With no sign of the Breen, the remaining 271 Deosi are on their way to TKR-117. Several freighters, transports, and shuttle craft are en route and will have landed by sim begin. Our fighters have provided escort. Those in the convoy should enjoy their break from the station. TKR-117 is a lush semi-tropical planet whose amenities are simple but more than adequate for an R&R.

Lt Duroz is at the shipyard and will remain there until upgrades to the sensors are completed. Testing will then begin.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 13 May 2011

(21 October 2386)

Captain Cooper, Commanders Chirakis, Jorahl, Brown, and Coleridge, and Centurion Dabi kept the station running while the others are out to play.

Lt Cdr Ramson and Lt Duroz exchanged words at the shipyard.

Captain al'Thor (Roberts), Lieutenants Spader and Harada, and Doctors Feretti and Belar enjoyed the hospitality of Alastair I on TKR-117. Drs. Feretti and Belar, especially, enjoyed the hospitality of Dr. Nagi, Chief Archaeologist. Among the sights they visited were the secure excavation area and the archaeological museum. Some visited the shops and have brought back some interesting replicas, as well as a few samples of the local cuisine.

TBS is twenty-four hours, long enough for the planet-side team to finish transferring the Deosi, fully enjoy the ambiance, and take a red-eye back to the station.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 3 June 2011

(22 October 2386)

Engineering is still tweaking the subspace sensors.

Medical is still puzzled over why Drs Ferretti and Belar blacked out on the Midway and had the same strange dream.

The station is bustling with activity with commerce continuing as usual and all shipping lanes open.

TBS was 24 hours.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 17 June 2011

(22 October 2386 | 1500 hours Aegis Relative)

The station is at red alert, preparing for a possible attack from subspace.

During testing of the subspace sensor array, three Breen scout ships emerged from subspace close to the station, only to disappear immediately, supposedly to report to the fleet.

An immediate and urgent request for assistance has been sent to the Joint Allies. Response has been received from the USS Missouri (Akira class border patrol), the USS Algonquin (Andromeda class exploration), the Romulan Star Empire, and the Ferengi Alliance. There has been no response from Starfleet other than the ships in the immediate vicinity.

TBS was 2 hours. Prepare for the worst.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 24 June 2011

(22 October 2386)

Sky Harbor Aegis is under a relentless attack from the Breen. After several hours of fierce battle, the USS Missouri and the USS Iowa flounder, though their fighters continue alongside Aegis' fighter squadron. Even with a sizable Ferengi fleet under DaiMon Bshkan, we still take a beating. Though the Breen also take some decisive hits, the station has lost over a dozen crucial primary defense platforms; shields are at 38% and failing quickly. The RES Aehallh and IKC Qapchu' are en route. No word from Starfleet.

At sim end, an immense vessel of strange, yet familiar configuration emerged from subspace. Hundreds of fighters poured from their bays and headed for Aegis.

There was no TBS. We pick up where we left off.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 8 July 2011

(5 November 2386)

The station and the allied ships continue repairs and recovery after the Breen attack from subspace. The USS Missouri remains in station orbit. The USS Iowa has departed for frontier patrol.

Having arrived too late for the battle, Starfleet ships under the command of Admiral DeLitori have been charged with search and recovery. Unidentified or unclaimed remains will be sealed in a memorial container - Aegis' tribute to The Unknown who gave their lives for the station and the Allied Powers.

The station is, for the most part, repaired. The defense platforms are in the process of repair and/or replacement. Parts and supplies have been pouring in and will continue to until we are fully functional.

Several questions remain unanswered, first and foremost among them is why the Athra - an unimaginably advanced nemesis of unknown origins - emerged from subspace to defend the station. Additionally, what is the Stone of Amun-ta, why did the Athra demand its return, and where did it come from?

Mission Briefing | Sky Harbor Aegis | 15 July 2011

(5 December 2386)

Over the past month the station has returned to normal - though one could argue that there is seldom Situation Normal without the last three words of that particular acronym on Aegis. Suffice to say that shipping is regular, the midway is busy, and we've had no sign of the Breen nor the Athra. Starfleet and the allies have beefed up frontier defenses; the USS Missouri and USS Iowa now visit the station on a regular basis.

Engineering continues to tweak the defence grid, though their division chief is torn between the station and the shipyard in preparation for the launch of the RSE-Federation joint/hybrid starship. Since the project falls under the category of need to know, the specifications of the craft have not been released.

Security busies itself not only with mundane matters, but with training pilots for the new TALIS capable fighters that are about to arrive. In addition, a dispatch from Alastair I has been received and forwarded; they will be watching for an artifact stolen from the museum there.

Medical has settled down to routine. They are coordinating with science to study the telepathy phenomenon that occurred during the Athra visit and the mysterious Stone of Amun-ta that disappeared when the Athra left.

Captain Cooper is due from his meeting with Starfleet Command soon, ETA uncertain. In his absence, Commander Chirakis is in command.

TBS was one month.

Mission Briefing | Sky Harbor Aegis | 22 July 2011

( 5 December 2386 )

Those present during the Breen attack on the station have received the Breen Station Campaign Ribbon:

Breen Station Campaign Ribbon

[Ribbon Design by Samantha Kent]

Aside from a rude interruption by Mr. Roberts & Company, life on the station, in the shipyard, and in the colony has settled down to routine. Medical is absorbed with routine physicals for Roberts' personnel. Security and science are working on identifying and finding the icon stolen from the archaeological museum on TKR-117. Engineering continues working on the station while SubCommander Jorahl fine-tunes the Romulan/Federation starship.

The Memorial to the Unknown is now ready. Launch will take place early in the sim.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 29 July 2011

(7 December 2386)

The Memorial to the Unknown now rests between the saucer sections of pylons A & B, a perpetual beacon to the memory of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in the defense of Aegis and the Alpha Quadrant.

The former "Dread Pirate Roberts," now known as Mr. Wesley Roberts, is aboard the station with a Starfleet Civilian grade EX-5, an equivalent military rank of commander, working with Special Operations Command (SOCOM), and commanding officer of the Revenge, now docked at Aegis. He and his crew are to be given the same consideration as military personnel, though his MO is known to only a few.

Engineer Commander Coleridge continues working on upgrading the defense grid to include continuous passive scans of subspace. His tinkering includes a field to block subspace emergence within the system.

Images of the priceless icon that is missing from TKR-117 have been posted throughout the station, but the icon has not been found. Security is coordinating with TKR-117 civilian security to determine just how the icon was stolen and transported to Aegis.

We welcome Commander M'Vess Vacer JoNs as an occasional player.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 5 August 2011

(9 December 2386)

TBS was two days.

With the exception of work on the subspace sensor array, ongoing projects have been suspended as we prepare for the arrival of the shipyard's prototype Romulan/Federation ship. Fighter escorts have been ordered.

Shipping in and around the shipyard and Aegis have been suspended and the lanes monitored, pending the ship's arrival. A secure docking area is ready; certain areas of the bay have been secured for shipyard use. Access to the ship and its crew will be limited to command.

Rumors circulate among the media. Already several suspected undercover reporters have been detained.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 12 August 2011

(11 December 2386)

Security has a civilian in custody, suspected of passing either information or stolen items to other civilians on the station.

Testing of the Romulan-Federation joint venture starship, NX-97000 is ongoing, LtCdr Ramson and SubCommander Jorahl coordinating the effort.

Engineering continues upgrades to the subspace sensor array, hoping that a block to subspace emergence within the sector can be blocked.

Captain Cooper prepares for reassignment. He will be heading up a task force to investigate the power vacuum left by the disappearance of the Breen in general, and the escalating problem with the Tjurakh* in particular. Commander Chirakis told him of her encounter with a destroyed Tjurakh colony (Strategic Recall) and indicated she would keep him informed of any new Intel.

TBS was two days.

____________

*Tjurakh - previously a loose configuration of warlords spread over several planets, they suddenly and mysteriously organized. Funded and armed by an unscrupulous few in the upper echelons of the Ferengi Alliance, they began raiding large colonies. Though the funding from the Ferengi has been cut off, they continue to grow and have become a credible threat in this area of space. Several of their staging colonies have been destroyed by heavy orbital bombardment, the unmistakable signature of Orion dreadnoughts found in the ruins.
