Holodeck problems

I tried getting on the Holodeck but it didn't let me. I have two (2) possibilities:

 

1. The computer was being stupid (like it always is) or
2.The Startrek.com server would not permit me to get on the Holodeck

 

Could you help me out?

The chat room worked for me. There are several things you can try... you can click here to go to another topic in this forum about chat room problems... it holds good information to finding ways to get in.

Hey there,

 

There have recently been some reported issues getting into the Holodeck. They include the chat room window itself not loading (aka: on title bar doesn't even say "Holodeck") to the applet not loading. I'm thinking this might have something to do with the startrek.com site redesign that's currently in progress. :D

yea, the window shows up, but the area where the chat window would be stays grey, and the sand glass thing stays when I head to the top...

I'm not able to get into any of the chatrooms at all.  Which presents a new issue ;D

 

And I have attempted all of the logical things to do to correct the issue that could be on my end.

Hey there everyone,

 

As of this time, it seems the Holodeck and Ready Room are having serious technical problems. While I can get into some technical reasons as to what we think is happening, it seems logical to assume the errors are related to upcoming changes at startrek.com. Hopefully they'll be corrected in the near future.

Ahh, yeah.. ok. I was trying to get into the ready Room for the Arcadia SIM, is it cancelled too, or will it take place somewhere else? (I recall one sim using an emergency room not that long ago   ???  Thanks

I cant get into the RR for the Arc ether. I cant get into any of them

I suggest you check your e-mail for any announcements or notices from Captain Moose on the status of Arcadia. I believe the sim is taking place in STSF's emergency chat room. :D

Fred, may want to post some simple instructions on how to use the emergency chat room. If they are tinkering with the Java room...many of us who havent been in that room...will be using if for the first time.

Hey there,

 

It's up to the individual advanced sim hosts to send out the instructions about the ER room. Since it is only for emergency uses, we don't want it to be used on a regular basis. Posting the information on the boards will probably lead to that.

I also have problems connecting to the Holodec Or RR,

it keeps doing stuff like this:

Well I skip the clicking completely by using the address for the page that launched the holodeck, so I just go to there and the holodeck pops up.

you just need to keep trying ST.com has a bad server and when too many people are trying to get on it does that and too many is like 2 :D
