One week ago, the USS Caliban went missing on a patrol route which took it along the edge of the chaotic, plasma-storm-ridden expanse on the edge of Federation space, known as the Badlands. The USS Prospero has been dispatched to investigate the loss of communication from the Caliban and render assistance if needed.
