First Academy Sim

I would like to thank LoAmi, Kent, TKAR and Blu for a fun first academy sim tonight. I can see that academy simming is a useful tool to both increase simming skill as well as offering some insight into what each dept would expect of you and where you might feel more comfortable working once attached to a ship. After tonights sim science may not be for me which is surprising considering that that is exactly where I was going to apply. I don't remember enough of my time as a rl EMT to try out Medical so.. I guess I will be putting an application in for janitorial. Or Captain of course.. if there is a spot open.. :(

Before choosing a department, I would suggest you watch some of the advanced sims you're interested in joining. Each sim has its own character, and the departments operate differently too.

The academy tonight was something of a puzzle (as I've been doing lately in Monday academies), with the general idea that a player should work with team-mates to get evidence from ACTIONs, add evidence through his/her own scans based on what's already been established, theorize, talk to each other, and come to some conclusions. For the record, most of them aren't solved in an hour.

I always choose the department that is closest to the mess hall and not too far away from the bathroom.

I can relate to you there V'Roy. I'll definitely take that into consideration when choosing my dept. :(

LoAmi by the way... I enjoyed very much how the sim played out. I only meant that I wouldn't choose science at least until I increased my own scientific knowledge so as to make my actions more accurate and believable. I hope you didn't think I meant it against you :(
