Blu sits there trying to concentrate on the myriad of tedious repair reports that Rian had compiled on the padd. She must have asked the computer to collect every useless piece of data that it could find and list it here. She had no doubt that Rian was trying to put her to sleep with it.

 

“I hope those shuttles pick up someone fairly soon, we’re a bloody long way from anywhere moving only on battery power.” She continues to scroll through the damage reports, the materials needed to repair said damage, and what type of supplies they still had onboard.

 

Musing through the list, she thought of something that she had read the specs on not too long ago at a conference on emergency power systems. As they were more or less in a stationary location, so that the shuttles would have a point of reference to send aid to once they reached communications range, they had to do something where they were at now. At least get it ready in case they needed to recharge the batteries. In fact, with the amount of repairs and replication they would need, she figured by these numbers, that they would need to start recharging them by the end of this week anyhow.

 

Scrolling through the remaining items, she came back to her power issue, and starts composing a note to Rian.

 

Attention: Captain Kwai

 

Subject: Emergency Power Reserves

 

Proposal: I would like to see the crew begin stripping down the various items on this list from any spare panels and storage compartments. Bring all materials to Cargo Bay 2C, where Engineering and Science will begin construction upon a set of solar sails which will be deployed to begin recharging our batteries and ensure that we are able to maintain life support in an emergency situation.

Satisfied that this at least will be a useful contribution, she pressed the send button on the padd and mumbles to herself, “Now, to work on getting out of here. “

A quiet message came up on her padd as she read it, and then cursed silently at the screen. “

 

Why you bloody rotten piece of circuitry, I even came back for you. All you needed to do is agree while the crew are busy with other matters.” She read the message again.

 

‘Permission to leave the sickbay denied, without direct examination of the medical staff. ‘

 

“Oh, that’s just great. First a crisis, and now, I have to devise some way to just get me back on my bridge. Thanks Holly, you were of no help at all. I needed for you to understand and let me out of here, would be tyou with your previous medical area.
