USS REPUBLIC BEGINS 19TH YEAR OF SIMMING

Please join me in congratulating the crew of the USS Republic as they embark on their 19th season of simming. One of the longest running sims out there!

 

The USS Republic sim began in November 1991 on a small university server, under the command of Captain Kruge. Shortly after, the ship was moved to play on the America Online service, where it played under the auspices of StarFleet Online, later renamed Spacefleet Online. The Republic has also been commanded by Captain Kraf, Admiral Erinna Morgyn, Captain Fish Vir, Captain Jael, Captain Kilgore and Vice-Admiral Ender. In 2002, the current Galaxy-class ship serving as a flag vessel for Rear Admiral Errrika BluRox moved to the Star Trek Simulation Forum. The Republic had to delay making the initial jump to STSF, due to room limitations as we shared a time slot with the Manticore, but at the time, we only had one chat room. Once a second room was built, the move was made and our voyages continue to this day.

 

To my crew and the many others that have served aboard the Republic over the years, your continued dedication to the ship is what has made it still going strong today! You guys are the best and I thank each and every one of you.

Congrats, Republic! Nineteen years seems like such a long time, but it's flown by soooo quickly!!

But it could in Canada! :( Seriously though, Congrats Republic! I love every minute on that ship, and am looking forward to the big 20th Anniversary party next year!
