Mitar Precip

Cleared for what?

The Starfleet Neurologist couldn't give any of the bolians a percise reason as to why they blacked out during their time in the Alternate Universe. For all intents and purposes aside from some checkins, they were cleared for duty.

Except Mitar Precip. He didn't have a duty at the moment. Much to his suprise from the logs provided by the medical staff in the Neurology ward at Maurtin, salvaged from Manticore's computers..Mitar had been relieved of duty, and replaced by Cdr McFly.

Mitar read his logs over and over again trying to figure out just what had happened. Simply put in his own words he disagreed with the Admiral on the bridge in this "Arcturan War" the ship particpated in while in the alternate universe. And he wouldn't back down.

::Mitar gazed out the viewport in his room on Maturin Station:: Wow..my career is over..finished.

Precip could understand why he was relieved. Any officer doing what he did on the bridge would of been relieved. But he couldn't understand why he was so...persistent against the Admiral's battle plan. If they were at war....and were given a target to strike..they had to strike it..to fullfilll the mission. But in this alternate universe he basically was labeling the Admiral reckless.

Mitar frowned. Often he viewed Atragon as being aggressisve, bold..daring as a flag officer in charge of a Black Ops ship which had been given missions no other CO could tackle. He had to be. So why in all the logs Mitar had written he seemed to disagree with his CO...and label the XO Captain Sovak..nothing but a "yes sir" second officer.

First time at war..and I blow it. It's done. You stupid ::bolian swear:: Mitar.

What were his options now? He could theoretically fight for his position given the fact the ship was in another universe under orders from a Consul General that in this universe was dead.

He could ask the Admiral to visit him..since at the moment..he could not even board Manticore..and talk this out.

He could transfer to one of the other vessels docked at Marutin..but most likely his request would be denied by those Captains based on what happened on the Manticore's bridge?

He could switch departments. But he'd still have to be reinstated...and Mitar honestly was not qualified for anything Medical, Science..or complex Engineering. He was a Tactical officer...A Chief of Security..albiet in his own recollections before this mission...a weak one..that would change.

Would Atragon even see him? It was worth a shot...Maybe he could get back to duty...Manticore was a Tactical officer's dream ship..capable of so many possiblities. Something had to be salvaged.

Could he do it?

Precip paged the Neurologist with a request to see the Admrial. The Doctor did not object to the meeting but only reminded Mitar that what was written in his logs did not reflect all that transpired between the too.

Still he had to take the chance...he had to.

End Log.
