Familiar spots

Why did that look so familiar? It was like she had seen this before. White, with tiny shadowy imperfections causing the mind to invent that you were seeing other things. If she had told anyone that’s she thought that she was seeing things before her eyes, that they’d finally decide she was nuts and retire her for sure. Then again, her head really hurt; maybe that’s why she was seeing things?

 

Blinking didn’t really help much either, except she lost her focus and saw other things in other areas of the white field of vision. A sunflower, a mythical Terran creature called a Unicorn, a targ over there, a Rihannsu Warbird closing in on the targ, somehow that was appropriate she thought.

 

What am I trying to remember? A rabbit, a star going nova, I have no idea what that is there. Wait, nova….ship, star drive. A bad dream? Have I just been ill? Fluffy clouds, a fish, a box.

 

Wait, a box…….the case, where was the case? In a panic, she started scrabbling around her reaching for it and trying to sit up. Where was it? Blazes my head is spinning, so dizzy. So tired. Resting her head back on the bed, as she hears Fiona dressing down another of the medics. Sickbay, that’s it, I must be in sickbay again. Looking up at the ceiling tile. Yes, that’s the same warbird as I’ve seen every other time I’ve had to lay here. Now, what happened that I am laying here?

 

The case......I must ...
