Happy Birthday Reaent

It began a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away. Ok, maybe it wasn't a far off galaxy but it certainly was a different world.

There was this kid, a young teenager, about 14 as I recall. We called him Fred but his real name was Duane. He was a sweet kid in spite of his smart mouth and hard head. But I digress.

One day, this sweet litte smart mouth had an idea to begin his own sim. I thought he was nuts but there was nothing new about that. His hard head refused to listen to me and it is a good thing he didn't. He pitched his idea to Tigress (some of you old SFOL'ers might remember her - she was booted from SFOL for some indiscresion - real or imagined - and went on to form her own simming group called the COL.) Tigress liked Fred's idea and told him he could start his own sim in her group. That was in October of 1995.

I am not sure where he came up with the name Reaent. But after 15 years and three simming groups later, the Reaent is still going strong. I am at a loss for words! Who would have thought it possible?

As I look at the simming schedule in STSF, I see a few names I remember. There are others noticably absent. I will always treasure my years with my beloved Hawking and Valkyrie. Regretably, they are not here. I am glad to see Republic made it (hugs & kisses to Blu & K'Bear) and Hood (bet you still have the best donuts, Huff), Arcadia and even Manticore! (remember those Academies, A9?). So congratulations to you all on the sucess of this forum. Thank you for saving some of the best sims in SFOL

But today, my very special congratulations to Fred/Duane and the crew of the USS Reaent.Wish I could be with you tonight but this is the best I can do.

Happy Birthday Reaent! And I hope you are still around in another 15 years.

Love, Annie

Whoa whoa!!! Lookee who's here!!

Yes, I do remember those Academies and the best of SFOL. We try to keep that flame (match?) alive here. That includes crazy Fred, although I'm not sure if I will ever forgive you for him!

And a Very Happy Birthday to Reaent.

In just a few months you can get your driver's permit!!

OMG, OMG, OMG!! Annie, cant' tell you how much you're missed here,Blu's still missing her best friend! So you'd better stop by some day to say hi some time! ::hugs::

And echoing Capt Sterwart's sentiments, Congratulations to Fred and the Reaent! I remember the first time Fred was coming to SL with us in Baltimore, and Capt. Stewart asked me to watch over her little bro! No need, he already was much more mature than many of the adults that were in attendance. Then again, there was that incident a few years later with the coconut bra.......and Atragon, but...that is another story.

Congrats Reaent, hope you have 15 more!

Blu

Happy Anniversary Reaent. I used to be on it too, and look back on my Reaent days as a fun time. Lot of good memories on that sim. You're looking good at 15! One more year, and you can drive. :P

Blu's best friend? What am I? Liver?

And how dare you bring up "the coconuts!" :P

Actually, extremely hard to believe that it has been 15 years....

And for the record, I have no idea who this Ann Stewart person is. I believe a full investigation should be launched, clearly someone is stalking me. Yup, that's my story.
