Hard to believe. 8th of September, 1966 at 8:30pm....the first episode of Star Trek appeared on TV screens. Who would have ever thought that the show would still be such a part of the world's culture over 4 decades later? :P

Several TV series, many movies, several hundred fiction books, toys/collectibles, and a legion of loyal fans that you do not want to mess with. Yep, I'd say that's a pretty good run and it has been lots of fun.
