Guest, USS Manticore-A

I have with the help of some of my former Security Co-workers, sucessfully moved out of the Command level quarters I have occupied for some time. They will be available for Commander McFly, my replacement for his immediate use.

My new quarters are several decks down and are basically courtesy quarters, a remenant of the commonality between same saucer section The Galaxy and Nebula class starships shared. Those Galaxy class starships, designed first..were supposed to be the Federation's showpiece to the Galaxy..especially in the diplomatic realm.

Of Course I am no diplomat..and the quarters I have been given seem to be designed with a visitor in mind. Pleasant, though not as large and certainly not containing a security station alcove where the CSEC could do some work while at "home".

I cannot complain of course..I could be in the brig under another CO's orders. I could be up for court martial. Well, I don't know what the Admiral has in mind for me. Until Manticore reaches Starbase, I am not certain what my future will be. I have left most my items packed for such an occassion of a immediate transfer off the ship.

Will he do it? Well I would. If I were in his shoes given a review of the Security department; Kansas being an example, some have actually said I did the right thing. This is disturbing to me. And it undermines confidence in the Command staff if unchecked. Leaving me at the nearest Starbase would send the right message.

Of Course there is that one big problem...I know too much. I've seen too much. I've shed blood...all covered up in some Black Ops file with my name on it.

And so, well these quarters will be my temporary home for now until a time arrives when my future is decided. One note. I have noticed some disconcerning looks that do not entirely seem to be associated with my removal. The kind folks who helped move me ...looked...like something else was in the back of their head. And it wasn't combat I have been around just long enough to read that. Manticore also was not proceeding back to the nearest starbase..I could tell that by glancing out my new window. Stars remain twinkling in space. It seems something else is a foot. Funny, usually I would be one of the first to know it. Now I am just another crewman of the lower decks..suspetable to rumors.

Oops..correction to log...I am not a crewman...a guest, of the Black OPs Vessel USS Manticore-A.

End Log.
