Some ADV SIMs

QUESTION:

Why do some ADV SIMs have their own ROOM while others utilize the Holodeck & Ready Room?

Because certain sims fall on days of the week where the stars are not in alignment for use of the Ready Room or Holodeck to be...safe...

Be warned.

Thanks ladies. I guess the answer is NO. There is no special reason that some have their own rooms while others do not. I guess the next question would be then, why don't we place the Academy in its own room? That way if it happens to run over then we won't interrupt any other SIM....

To give a longer response: as our chat software has evolved, the ability to have more rooms has also evolved. At one point during the early years of STSF, everything was contained within one room and then two at ST.com. The "Holodeck" and "Ready Room" structure is largely a carry over from that. Initially most advanced sims were in the RR while academy and "lounge" activities were in the Holodeck.

With the most recent major update to our chat software, we were able to do custom rooms. Each hosting team was given the option of hosting our games in the custom rooms instead of the Holodeck or Ready Room.

Thank you all... This is good information. It's obvious that I am still very new around here. I sincerely appreciate the patience that I have been afforded in spite of my unbounded curiosity and probing.
