As am I. Just remember, Mr Butterworth, cadet logs are not mandatory. They would be considered extra-curricular activities, and do not count towards graduation.

Mark:

Although the commander's statements are true and posts of the academic activities of a cadet are not required or necessary, as one who used this as a helpful tool, I found a lot of enjoyment in slowly creating and developing my academy character through my several posts. This also enabled me (both in and out of character) to explore the more technical aspects of the 'field of choice' and express my personal views and analysis of said fields. This tool can also be used to express (in character) reflections of actual academy simulations, as your post seems to provide. This too can be seen as beneficial to all.

Once again, cadet logs are considered extra-curricular, and are not mandatory. How one player develops their character may not work for other players.

Further ( and probably more important ) Cadets are to all be human. Someone wishing to play a Vulcan would have problems with this.

Hey there,

This is an important point. Why? Because often times, when joining an advanced sim, certain games will have different requirements about your character when you do graduate and join. No one wants to spend the time creating a great character while a cadet only to find out they can't use it when they get their assignment orders!

I guess many look at this differently. With me, this is ALL new. I have never performed on stage before and in fact I have a funny story about that (he has a funny story about most things. comes with age.). I am simply saying that I found this exercise helpful in enabling me to transition into this world of SIM. Some may find my advice helpful while others will find it quite the opposite. As with all things, there are many ways to reach the same point.

As Spock would say.... Then as I am half-human, your record remains untarnished.
