Doctor, my eyes can not believe

As the phaser blasts it free without dying

Now I'm here to lend a hand

I have done all that I could

Should have opened up a book; now I'm sighing

You must help me if you can

 

Doctor, my eyes

are filled with her blood

Was I unwise...

not to find where it came from

 

Now I wander through corridors

as my memories unfurl

I can't believe that I let her die alone

And the crew go where they will

I never noticed them until I got this feeling

That it was all my fault

 

Doctor, my eyes

Tell me what you see

I hear their cries

Just say if it's too late for me

Doctor, my eyes

Cannot see the sky

Is this the prize for having learned how not to cry
