TKAR:

You're reading my mind again! (pesky Vulcans LOL) There is such a thing as THE BIBLE which is NOT in print. It is, however, used by ALL Trek Script writers. There are 'make-shift' versions of this practically everywhere (many web-sites), however, there is only ONE BIBLE. I personally have "The STAR TREK Encyclopedia" by Mike & Denise Okuda. As it is a hardback book, parsing of medical information would be most difficult but not impossible. Recently I did go to one of these 'sites' and downloaded their 'extremely limited' encyclopedia and was just begining to split it up into Life Sciences, Astrophysics, Engineering and Operations (Logistics). I believe that would be a great undertaking. With that, I say, Heck Yea! Let's e-mail Paramount with the idea! We'll do the work if they'll provide the data (BIBLE).

Reprints of past TOS Trek books such as the Franz Joseph Technical Manuals, the Concordance, Making of Star Trek, or any of these old school hard copies from the 1970's and 1980's would depend on:

1.) Fan/Collector interest.

2.) Viability.

3.) Sale revenue.

I'm a die hard Classic TOS/TOS Movie Era fan (duh! :)), and I have a couple of these old school Trek books. I recently purchased Star Trek: The Art of the Film (2009, Trek 11) after I spotted a price drop on the book over at Amazon.

As a collector and if I'm going to invest the money, I'd rather move forward with new items such as this New TOS movie art book or new merchandise offerings for Classic Trek, rather then reprints of older hard copy material.
