Given Aegis' history, it might fit more into the Dominion War/Post Dominion War category. It's current location is a break from that but the allied nature of the station is a definite carry over from the war.

Dominion War / Post-Dominion War RPs: (4)

Agincourt - Excalibur - Reaent - Republic

Next Generation RPs: (4)

Arcadia - Manticore - Sky Harbor Aegis - Talon ( Romulan )

Concerning Aegis, SubCommander Jorahl would be correct. Aegis has a very exact timeline, the date for Friday's sim being 25 July 2386. The Dominion War was fought 2373-2375, which puts us after that era and well after TNG.

Okay gang, here's an idea.... Why don't we help her out, get together next Saturday at The Red Star and put together an accurate ERA listing for every SIM hosted here. I think it would be beneficial for new comers as well as those who don't venture outside their SIMs... Good General Knowledge Thingy, you know? I'd be happy to collate everyone's comments...

BTW.. thanks T'Aral...

Arcadia is also in the post-TNG/post-DS9 era, although the war and war fallout have very little effect on the plot line.

Chiming in: The Agincourt is set after the Dominion War, our actual year(s) is 2397 onward, 20 years after the return of VOY and after the events in Nemesis, though we make no mention of the Remans at all.

The below (edited) rundown of our Sims is taken from the STSF article over at Wikipedia. The entire article offers a condensed history of STSF as well as the Sims. I won't link the article due to our policies:

USS Excalibur — The USS Excalibur sim is a post-DS9/Voyager era sim currently set in the Gamma Quadrant.

USS Challenger — The USS Challenger is set during the post-STVI era.

USS Manticore — The USS Manticore is Star Trek Simulation Forum's Black-Ops Sim, and is set in the Post DS9/Voyager era.

USS Republic — The USS Republic is currently set in the post DS9/Voyager era and is one of the longest running games at Star Trek Simulation Forum.

USS Hood — The USS Hood is currently the only Star Trek Simulation Forum game set in the TOS-era.

IKC Qob/Lakota — The IKC Qob/Lakota is a joint mission between Starfleet and the Klingon Empire set in the post-DS9/Voyager era.

EDIT: set in the early 2400's, is now Qob: Tranquility under Capt. Manning and taking on more of a Firefly meets Star Trek feel. Rock on Qob.

USS Agincourt — The USS Agincourt is the only "future" sim currently in operation at Star Trek Simulation Forum taking almost two decades after the events of Star Trek: Nemesis.

USS Arcadia — The USS Arcadia, like the Republic, is one of the longest running games at the Star Trek Simulation Forum. It is set in the post-DS9/Voyager era.

USS Reaent — The USS Reaent is set in the post-DS9/Voyager era aboard a refitted Ambassador class starship and has been running for over a decade.

RES Talon — The RES Talon is the only Romulan Star Trek Simulation Forum game in operation.

USS Comanche Creek - USS Comanche Creek is a New TOS sim based on the timeline from the eleventh movie.

Sky-Harbor Aegis — Sky Harbor Aegis is a station-based sim set in the post-DS9/Voyager era.

USS Excalibur — The USS Excalibur sim is a post-DS9/Voyager era sim currently set in the Gamma Quadrant.

Excalibur is set, specifically, in the Gamma Quadrant and currently in the year 2385. Condensing our primer, action on Excalibur centers around the sweeping political changes brought about by the end of the Dominion War. At current, the two major powers in the Gamma Quadrant, the Dominion and the Scorpiad Empire are facing internal challenges, while Federation, Romulan and Klingon vessels explore the quadrant from our base 120 LY from the wormhole, Camelot.

USS Manticore — The USS Manticore is Star Trek Simulation Forum's Black-Ops Sim, and is set in the Post DS9/Voyager era.

Well, Manticore sims in the year 2369, so that would put it TNG Season Six. Maybe the Wiki needs a change? ::looks to A9:::

I will collate the data for you. Placing it here is fine. As a suggestion, we might want to also include the actual number of participants, weekly and overall. Believe it or not, people LOOK at numbers... :P

Actually, if you are interested in finding out crew numbers, you should talk to the GMs of the sims (and even then you will have people doubling and tripling up between sims and even some who double up characters on the same sim).

We have no desire to specifically quantify exactly who and how many are playing in STSF, we're just here to have fun. I am not sure why you have such a need to collect and collate this data. I would suggest you visit some sims, decide which ones you like (and which ones fit with your RL schedule) and use that personal research to make your decision.

A9:

Aye, Sir... I have been perusing the SIMs and will make my choice wisely; with everyone's expert tutoring...

Thank you for the advise...

Have a Good Evening.

And of course it's hard to count the number of lurkers out there, like myself, who though semi-retired, still frequent the community. :P

I promise you, myself and other lurkers have no connection to the Garnoopy for Admiral campaign. Nope. None. Whatsover. Actually forget I mentioned it.
