Personal:

Doctor Honeycutt, or BJ to his friends, has spent his entire life training to be a Surgeon. The location he chose for his surgical training was questioned at first, but the exposure to multiple species and weekend "activities" at the mining colony of Tarsus 4 gave him the advantage he was looking for over his fellow classmates. Tarsus was a hard year, filled with long hours and exposure to extreme traumas on a weekly basis. But BJ returned to Earth with the respect of the medical community. His choice of joining StarFleet is now seen as BJs effort to again fast-track himself to a valued position inside of the medical community.

 

BJ has a quick wit and is fast with a smile. One professor in medical school noted that he has a natural bedside manor, essential in the surgical trauma field.

 

His weakness is post-surgical on children. He has been known to disappear for days after serious surgeries on children. Details of his activities during those times are not known and no charges have ever been filed against him.
