BACKGROUND: While conducting a deep space survey beyond Cardassian space, the Galaxy-class starship VICTORY has located the previously-missing Excelsior-class starship ARKADELPHIA in orbit above a terrestrial moon of Vorbus 7 (a gas giant). The ship appears undamaged. The response to hails, given almost lazily, has shed little light on the situation.

MISSION BRIEFING: The starship VICTORY has assumed orbit beside ARKADELPHIA. An away team, led by the XO, is assembling in the transporter room before beaming over to investigate. Those on the bridge continue studies of the planet and surrounding system
