USS Republic Summary

The USS Republic is still looking over the planet they have been investigating for a few days now. Between the engineers and Science staff, there has been progress in getting some of the satellite transmissions decoded.

 

It seems, from what was seen and heard on the old transmission that the planets works departments were no longer working, and that the people of the planet at that time were being killed off by some time of disease. They had quarantine areas set up to try to curtail the disease to one place, per the reporters transmission.

 

Kwai finally had seen enough that she wanted samples from the planet to try to figure out what killed off these people. She gave Kania a chance to redeem herself somewhat. She had Kania gather a team and gave her instructions as to what she wanted and what she DIDN'T want done. She was to have samples gathered and brought back to the ship and her specific instructions were "NOT TO shoot anyone or even engage any of the planet folks unless it was unavoidable.

 

Kania picked her team carefully. She called on Joy to join her, but then called the other departments heads to pick someone to join her. To her surprise, Jax decided to go herself instead of remaining on the ship knowing the hazzards of this mission. As well as Mr Robinson and Dr Weber. Will also brought alone another officer Mr Bardolph.

 

The team was ready but Kwai noticed that ll of the department heads decided to go on the mission. She decided for JAx's best interest she would pull her off and called her back to the bridge.

 

The team met in the Transporter room and suited up. As they went to the surface the looked around, looking for places they would be able to find viable samples. Kania split the team into two and they went different ways. Little did they know they were being watched from a distance.
