Sivuk is the eldest son of Sakel, present Vulcan Ambassador to the Federation Council, and Virun, daughter of Sarek by a late marriage.  Sivuk grew up in diplomatic circles but preferred science over politics.  He attended the Vulcan Academy of Science, graduating second in his class.  His fields of study there included astrophysics, geophysics, and cybernetics.  After graduation he attended Starfleet Academy, from whence he graduated on Stardate 02082.9.
