Dear New and Confused,

Welcome to STSF, Marta!

To get involved, all you have to do is show up at the Academy.  If you look at the top of your screen, right under the logo, you'll see a bar with some links.  One of those is to the schedule.  Find a "Starfleet Academy" sim with a time that's convenient for you to attend (notice that the times are in Eastern and Pacific time zones, adjust accordingly), and show up a few minutes before the sim.  Sims are held in the "Holodeck" chat room on www.startrek.com.  You'll need to sign up for a startrek.com user name (that's different from your STSF message boards user name).  Once you're there, just follow the instructions of the GMs (game masters), and, of course, have fun.

Some of the STSF conventions, which you should familiarize yourself with, are in the "Getting Started/Help" section of this website.  Lots of good simming tips, FAQs, etc. are posted on these boards, mostly in the "Community and Trek discussion" and "STSF Academy" folders.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask a GM, the boards, or even another player!

Hope this helps.  Have fun.

Hey there,

Welcome to STSF! Be sure to also read the "Help" section for more hints and look at "Moose's Tips" on these boards for help with graduation. :)
