Only minor injuries

The first wave of patients was starting to come in. For a brief moment Nick wished he was still home. But he wasn't. He was back on Aegis. And Aegis was under attack. Tell me something new, he thought. As of now, they had no idea who was attacking them and why. But Nick was sure whoever was on that alien ship thought they had a very good reason for blowing Aegis out of this asteroid field.

With a sigh Nick picked up a tricorder and approached the nearest biobed occupied with a patient. A young woman sat on it, cradling her arm. While he scanned the arm with his tricorder Nick saw DJ out of the corner of his eye. She was taking care of a crewman who seemed to have sustained burns most likely from a ruptured conduit or some such thing.

After giving his patient analgesics, Nick moved on. So far the worst was that most patients were in pain and decidedly uncomfortable. But noone was in critical condition. Somehow Nick had the feeling that might change from one second to the next if the attackers got a real shot in. Whatever was going to happen, Nivk was sure it'd be a very long day.
