Sometime a little talk with yourself is all you need ...

After excusing herself from the table, Eva hurried to the nearest washroom, still clutching her drink. After making sure no one else was inside, she locked the door. Anyone needing the facility would have to wait. She needed a moment alone.

Her back against the door, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Realizing she still had her glass in hand, she looked for a place to put it down. Eva spotted a gilded counter and deposited her glass on the golden surface. She then made her way to the far wall, which was covered from floor to ceiling with a beveled mirror, and stood in front of it.

" OK! What's your problem?" she told herself out loud. "Why are you acting so bizarrely?" Seeing her blushed cheeks, she sighed. "For crying out loud ,you look like...VIL! All giggles and pink cheeks." And as much as the whole innocent thing works for her, it looks pretty idiotic when it comes to you! she quickly added in her head.

Turning her back to her own reflection she sat down on a little golden ottoman."And why is there an ottoman in a washroom...what kind of place is this...?" she muttered, knowing she was getting annoyed at the restaurant decor as a mean of deflecting the annoyance she felt towards herself.

Pinching the bridge of her nose, she thought, I hope you know how stupid you look. What is this, your 1st date?! You've been married 5 times! Eva Cassandra Jaz get a hold of yourself!

She turned to the mirror again, pulling on a stray curl that had fallen in front of her eye. And leave your bloody hair be!

She looked around with an air of desperation in her eyes, until she noticed her untouched drink. With a smile of relief she got up and reached for the glass, downing it at once before putting it back down, empty, on the counter, her eyes watering as the alcohol burned its way down her throat. Woah! she thought while wiping her teary eyes and shaking herself to try to gain a little countenance.

She looked at the young woman in the mirror again and declared, "Now quit worrying, start acting your age, and everything will be fine!" As she made her way towards the door, she paused, smiled, and turned towards her reflection on the wall before adding, "And STOP talking to yourself out loud!"

With that said, she unlocked the door, and made her way back to her table, head high and a wicked grin on her face .
